AEW Collision #19

Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of rock 'n' roll and now, the site of some of the most thrilling professional wrestling action in the world. All Elite Wrestling brought its brand of high-flying drama to the FedExForum on October 20th, and this journalist was lucky enough to be ringside for it all.

The evening began with a barnburner of a match between Bryan Danielson and Andrade El Idolo. The two grapplers went at it tooth and nail from the opening bell, trading holds and strikes in a contest that left the crowd on its collective feet. In the end, it was the veteran Danielson who emerged victorious, besting the talented El Idolo via pinfall after 18 minutes and 49 seconds of non-stop action.

Next up were two up-and-coming ladies, Skye Blue and HollyHood Haley. Their singles match was a showcase for the skills of these two talented women, with Blue ultimately emerging victorious at 2:01 of the contest.

The Gunns (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) made their presence known in the tag team division by defeating Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd in a hard-hitting bout that saw the Gunned duo get the better of their opponents at 2:02. These young guns are looking to make a name for themselves in AEW, and matches like this one could be a sign of things to come.

The main event of the evening was a Memphis Street Fight between Jeff Jarrett and Eddie Kingston. This wild and crazy match saw both men use every trick in the book (and a few that aren't) to get ahead, with Jarrett ultimately emerging victorious after 13 minutes and 4 seconds of mayhem.

Miro made his presence known on the evening by defeating Action Andretti via submission at 9:11. This former ROH star is looking to make a name for himself in AEW, and matches like this one could be a sign that he's on the right track.

The tag team division was on full display next, as Bad Thad Brown and Darian Bengston took on FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in a match that ended in no contest after just 1:09. This bout saw both teams trade holds and strikes, but ultimately neither could gain the upper hand.

Finally, the evening was capped off with an AEW World Tag Team Title match between Big Bill and Ricky Starks and Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta). This highly anticipated contest did not disappoint, as Big Bill and Starks emerged victorious after 21 minutes and 24 seconds of back-and-forth action. The crowd was on its feet as these two teams went at it, with the champs putting everything they had into this match.

Overall, this was a fantastic card from start to finish. AEW has really outdone themselves in building a strong roster filled with talented grapplers, and matches like this one are why fans will continue to flock to their shows. Until next time, folks...
