AEW's Toledo Takeover: All Elite Action at the Huntington Center

October 2nd, 2024 - Toledo, Ohio, USA - Huntington Center

In front of a raucous crowd in the Buckeye State, All Elite Wrestling brought the heat to the Huntington Center with a loaded card that showcased some of the promotion's brightest talent. Our man on the ground, Jonathan Wilson, was ringside to take it all in.

The action kicked off with Darby Allin taking on Johnny TV in a singles match. The "Scandalous" one wasted little time in asserting his dominance, laying waste to the challenger with a series of high-impact moves before sealing the deal with the Coffin Squeeze. It was a convincing win for Allin, who looks to be building momentum ahead of his next major test.

Next up, the Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) faced off against Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) in a tag team match. The GYVs looked to have things under control early on, but a burst of energy from the Outrunners saw them turn the tables and secure the victory. This was an impressive performance from Truth and Turbo, who continue to make a strong case for themselves as one of AEW's top duos.

The women's division shone bright with Willow Nightingale taking on Trish Adora in a singles match. The two competitors traded holds and near-falls throughout, but in the end it was Willow who emerged victorious thanks to a beautiful roll-up. This was an excellent display from both women, showcasing their technical prowess and athleticism.

Wheeler Yuta looked to be in trouble early on against BEEF, but the "Wild Card" fighter's quickness and cunning allowed him to turn things around and secure the win. This was another strong outing for Yuta, who is quickly becoming one of AEW's most reliable performers.

In a bout that had fans buzzing from bell to bell, The Conglomeration (Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy) took on The Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese) in a tag team match. This was an absolute clinic, with all four competitors putting their skills on full display. In the end, it was Kyle and Orange who emerged victorious, demonstrating why they're one of AEW's top tandems.

The main event saw Hologram face off against Action Andretti, Komander, and Nick Wayne in a thrilling four-way match. This was an absolute wild ride, with all four competitors giving it their all. In the end, it was Hologram who emerged victorious, much to the delight of the Toledo crowd.

The evening's main event saw Kris Statlander take on Zoey Lynn in a singles match. The "Goddess" looked to be in control for most of the bout, but Lynn refused to back down, pushing Statlander to her limits. In the end, it was Statlander who emerged victorious, proving once again why she's one of AEW's top talents.

Finally, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) faced off against House Of Black (Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black) and Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) in a #1 Contendership Eliminator match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles. This was an absolute war, with all six competitors giving it their all. In the end, Private Party emerged victorious, earning themselves a shot at the tag team titles.

It's been a wild ride in Toledo, folks. All Elite Wrestling has once again shown why they're the go-to promotion for professional wrestling fans around the world. Until next time...
