Wrestling Weekly: All Elite Wrestling's Boston Bash Review

[October 15, 2019] - Last night, All Elite Wrestling brought the action to the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, and boy did they deliver! The taped broadcast went out live on October 15th, and we're here to give you the lowdown on a card that had it all.

Match of the Night: Kip Sabian vs. Peter Avalon vs. Sonny Kiss

We kicked things off with a thrilling three-way match between Kip Sabian and the duo of Peter Avalon and Sonny Kiss. This opener was exactly what you want from an All Elite Wrestling show - fast-paced, high-flying action that got the crowd buzzing from the get-go. Sabian proved why he's a rising star in AEW, taking down both opponents with ease to pick up the win. At just 6:06, this match flew by, but it was a great way to set the tone for what would be an incredible night of wrestling.

Hybrid2 and The Dark Order Take Down SCU

The second match saw eight men clash in a wild tag team bout between Hybrid2 (Angélico and Jack Evans) and SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky). This one was all about the high-flying action, with Angélico's insane dives and Evans' technical grappling skills on full display. SCU brought their A-game as well, but ultimately fell short to the combined might of Hybrid2. The 9:49 runtime was spot-on for this style of match.

Kenny Omega Shines in Lights Out Match vs. Joey Janela

And then there was Kenny Omega and Joey Janela's lights out match. This one was a war from start to finish, with both competitors giving it their all in the most brutal conditions imaginable (minus the actual lights going out, of course). The crowd was on the edge of their seats as these two wrestling warriors traded blows and took insane bumps. Omega emerged victorious after 26:40 of pure chaos, cementing his status as one of the best in the business.

The Verdict

All Elite Wrestling's Boston show was an absolute banger from start to finish. With a great mix of high-flying action, technical grappling, and sheer brutality, there was something for everyone. If you missed it live, don't worry - Zoha's got you covered with our replay review. Trust us, this one is worth rewatching.

Final Score: 4.5 out of 5 wrestling boots
