BOSTON BRAWL: AEW DELIVERS THRILLING TV-SHOW IN THE BAY STATE
The Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts played host to an unforgettable night of professional wrestling as All Elite Wrestling (AEW) presented a stacked card that left the sold-out crowd of 5,750 on the edge of their seats. With six matches featuring some of the top talent in the industry, it was a true showcase of what AEW has to offer.
In the opening bout, CM Punk made his highly-anticipated return to the ring, defeating Bobby Fish in a thrilling singles match that clocked in at 12:58. The crowd was electric as the former WWE superstar proved he still has what it takes to hang with the best of them. A great start to the night, and one that set the tone for the rest of the card.
Next up, MJF continued his winning ways, dispatching Bryce Donovan in a swift 35-second squash match. The arrogant Superstar made quick work of his opponent, showing once again why he's considered one of the top heels in the promotion.
The first championship match of the night saw Sammy Guevara put his AEW TNT Title on the line against Ethan Page. In a highly-competitive contest that lasted 10:58, Guevara emerged victorious to retain his title and prove himself as a force to be reckoned with at the top of the card.
The women's division was up next, with Hikaru Shida facing off against Serena Deeb in a TBS Title Tournament first-round match. In a closely-contested contest that also went the full 10:58, Shida came out on top to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
Jon Moxley then took center stage, as he faced off against Ten in an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament first-round match. With a decisive victory clocked at just 2:04, Moxley made it clear that he's still the man to beat in this competition.
The main event saw The Dark Order (Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, John Silver, and Stu Grayson) take on The Elite (Adam Cole, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) in an eight-man tag team match. In a thrilling contest that went the full 13:02, The Dark Order emerged victorious to send the crowd home happy.
In conclusion, AEW's Boston stop was a resounding success, featuring a card that had something for everyone. With so many great matches and moments, it's clear that this promotion is on the rise and ready to take over the professional wrestling world.
