Rupp Arena Hosts Electrifying AEW Card in Lexington, Kentucky
January 25th, 2023 - In front of a raucous crowd of 5,700 at the Rupp Arena, All Elite Wrestling presented an action-packed television show that left fans on the edge of their seats. The Jericho Appreciation Society's Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara kicked things off with a thrilling tag team victory over Action Andretti and Ricky Starks.
In a match that showcased both teams' technical prowess, JAS proved to be the superior duo, capitalizing on a series of high-flying moves to secure the pinfall at 12:44. The win marked another successful outing for Jericho's faction, which continues to make waves in AEW.
Next up was the main event of the evening, as Darby Allin put his AEW TNT Title reign on the line against Buddy Matthews. In a hard-hitting contest that saw both competitors give it their all, Allin emerged victorious at 12:48 with a devastating top-rope Code Red.
The undercard featured some exciting matchups, including Hook and Jack Perry's dominant tag team performance against The Firm (Ethan Page and Matt Hardy). The young duo, making their first appearance in AEW together, showed incredible chemistry and poise to dispatch the veteran tag team at 7:01.
