ALL ELITE WRESTLING DELIVERS THRILLING CARD IN AUSTIN
Moody Center, Austin, Texas - May 16th, 2023
In a night that will be remembered for weeks to come, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) brought the heat to the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, delivering a stacked card that left fans on the edge of their seats. The sold-out crowd of 4,600 was treated to six matches, each one showcasing the incredible talent and athleticism that AEW has become synonymous with.
The show opened with a bang as Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy took on Big Bill and Lee Moriarty in a tag team match. The unlikely duo of Allin and Cassidy proved to be the perfect combination, working together seamlessly to outmaneuver their opponents. In the end, it was Allin who secured the pinfall victory, showcasing his incredible agility and quickness.
Next up was Sammy Guevara, looking to make a statement in his singles match against Exodus Prime. The young talent from Mexico wasted no time, delivering a devastating springboard cutter that sent Prime crashing to the mat. A mere 29 seconds later, the referee counted to three, awarding Guevara the victory.
The Outcasts - Ruby Soho and Toni Storm - then took on Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Hikaru Shida in another thrilling tag team contest. The teams traded moves and near-falls throughout, with each side giving it their all. In the end, it was Soho who delivered the decisive blow, pinning Shida to secure the win.
The main event of the evening was a Falls Count Anywhere match between Roderick Strong and Chris Jericho. This one had "war" written all over it, with both men leaving everything in the ring. The action spilled outside the ring at several points, with the two competitors using every inch of the arena to their advantage. In the end, it was Strong who emerged victorious, his arm dragging Chris Jericho across the ropes to secure the win.
The penultimate match saw Jack Perry take on Rush in a singles contest that promised much and delivered even more. The action was fast-paced and intense, with both men giving it their all. In the end, it was Perry who emerged victorious, pinning Rush after a thrilling sequence of moves.
Finally, Jay White closed out the show by defeating Ricky Starks in another hard-hitting singles match. This one had a bit of everything - high-flying action, technical grappling, and even some old-school brawling. In the end, it was White who emerged victorious, his kick sending Starks crashing to the mat.
With this card, AEW has once again shown why they are the best professional wrestling promotion in the world today. The talent is incredible, the matches are always memorable, and the atmosphere is electric. If you're a fan of pro-wrestling, then All Elite Wrestling is the place to be.
