ALL ELITE WRESTLING DELIVERS THRILLING TV SHOW IN COLUMBUS
Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio played host to a pulsating All Elite Wrestling (AEW) TV show on September 8th, as the promotion brought its unique blend of high-flying action and hard-hitting drama to the Buckeye State. And boy, did it deliver!
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: BLACKPOOL COMBAT CLUB VS. LUCHA BROTHERS
The main event of the evening saw Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley) take on The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) in a tag team match that will be remembered for a long time to come. This one had it all: aerial assaults, near-falls galore, and even some old-fashioned technical grappling. In the end, it was the BCC who emerged victorious, with Claudio scoring the pinfall after a thunderous European uppercut.
YOUNG BUCKS DOMINATE THE HARDYS IN TAG TEAM ACTION
The opening match of the evening saw The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) take on The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) in a tag team contest that showcased both teams' incredible athleticism. While the Hardys had their moments, it was ultimately the reDRagon tandem who came out on top, with Nick scoring the pinfall after a picture-perfect More Bang For Your Buck.
FTW TITLE SHOT: JACK PERRY TAKES DOWN RVD
In a bout that will be remembered for its sheer intensity and unpredictability, Jack Perry took down Rob Van Dam in an FTW Rules match to earn himself an FTW Title shot. This one was all about big moves and bigger hits – and in the end, it was Perry's aerial assault that proved too much for the veteran RVD.
AEW WOMEN'S WORLD TITLE ACTION
The women's division stole the show with a thrilling AEW Women's World Title match between Hikaru Shida and Anna Jay. This one was all about technical grappling and sheer determination – and in the end, it was Shida who emerged victorious, retaining her title with a textbook armbar submission.
