Duluth, GA - A scorching summer evening at the Gas South Arena saw All Elite Wrestling (AEW) bring the heat to a packed house of 5,343 fans for their latest TV-special. Yours truly was on hand to witness the action unfold, and I'm here to give you the lowdown.
The show kicked off with a barnburner of a match pitting Jon Moxley against Rey Fenix in a singles bout. The two competitors came out swinging (literally) from the get-go, trading high-impact moves and near-falls that left the crowd on their feet. In the end, it was Moxley who emerged victorious, securing the win via submission at 13:37.
Next up, Darby Allin and his tag-team partner Nick Wayne took on AR Fox and Swerve Strickland of The Mogul Embassy in a thrilling tag-team affair. The young guns showed no signs of rust, trading moves with their seasoned opponents and putting on an impressive display. In the end, it was Allin and Wayne who came out on top, clocking in at 9:55.
Ruby Soho then stepped into the ring to face Skye Blue in a singles match that showcased both women's technical prowess. The two competitors worked a fast-paced, high-flying match that had the crowd firmly behind them. In the end, it was Ruby Soho who came out on top, securing the win via pin at 7:15.
The ROH World Tag Team Championship was next on the docket, as Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) put their titles on the line against The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy). This one was a real barnburner, with both teams trading moves and showing no signs of letting up. In the end, it was Aussie Open who retained their titles, clocking in at 8:02.
Overall, it was a fantastic card from start to finish, showcasing AEW's impressive roster of talent and leaving fans buzzing for more. For yours truly, it was an absolute pleasure to be on hand to witness such an unforgettable evening of professional wrestling. And that's the bottom line!
