All Elite Wrestling Delivers Thrilling Card at Daily's Place
Jacksonville, Florida - In a taped broadcast from the Daily's Place arena, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) presented a stacked card that left fans on the edge of their seats. The July 30th event, set to air on August 5th, featured a mix of tag team action and individual matchups, capped off by a high-stakes AEW World Title bout.
The evening's opening contest saw The Dark Order (Alan Angels, Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and Preston Vance) join forces with Colt Cabana to take on The Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) and FTR in a 12-man tag team match. The sheer number of competitors led to a chaotic, hard-hitting affair that showcased the skills of all involved. In the end, the unlikely duo of The Dark Order and Colt Cabana emerged victorious, besting their opponents at 17:19.
Next up, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) put their unity to the test against The Inner Circle's (Ortiz and Santana) rival tandem. This tag team bout was a technical showcase, with both teams displaying impressive chemistry and grappling prowess. The Best Friends ultimately prevailed at 13:36.
In a pre-match interview, Cody, accompanied by Matt Cardona, touted their unity and experience as the perfect recipe for success against The Dark Order's (Alex Reynolds and John Silver). Their tag team match lived up to expectations, with Cody and Matt Cardona emerging victorious at 11:55.
In a relatively brief singles contest, Big Swole dispatched Reba in just 1:38. This was an effective way to give the crowd a quick win and allow the focus to shift to more substantial matchups.
The main event featured Jon Moxley, fresh from his recent feud with Eddie Kingston, facing off against Darby Allin for the AEW World Title. Both competitors showcased their rugged individuality, trading blows and near-falls in a thrilling contest that had the audience on its feet. In the end, Jon Moxley retained the title, outlasting Darby Allin at 14:26.
While some may view this event as a mere warm-up for larger storylines to come, the action-packed card proved an entertaining showcase of AEW's diverse talent pool. Fans will be eagerly anticipating the next installment of All Elite Wrestling's TV series.
