AEW's Winter Storm Brings the Heat to Elmont, New York

The UBS Arena was rocking on December 8th as All Elite Wrestling brought their winter storm tour to Long Island. The taped broadcast aired on December 10th, and I'm here to give you the lowdown on what went down.

Tag Team Tussle

The main event of the evening saw The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) put their AEW World Tag Team Titles on the line against FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood). What ensued was a thrilling 14-minute match that had the crowd on their feet. The high-flying Luchas showed off their aerial acrobatics, while FTR relied on their technical prowess to keep them grounded. In the end, it was Penta's devastating package piledriver that sealed the deal for the champions.

Six-Woman Showdown

The undercard got underway with a six-woman tag team match featuring Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, and The Bunny taking on Ruby Soho and TayJay (Anna Jay and Tay Conti). This one was all about the ladies, folks. These talented grapplers put on a show, trading near-falls and showcasing their individual styles. In the end, it was Nyla's powerbomb that wrapped things up for her team.

Singles Squares

In between those two tag team matches, we got a pair of singles bouts that showcased some of AEW's top talent.

First up, Hook took on Fuego Del Sol in a brief but brutal encounter. The young Hook showed off his explosive offense, taking down the veteran Fuego with a flurry of strikes and a vicious hook for the win (3:20).

Next, Adam Cole faced Wheeler Yuta in a battle of wits. These two former friends turned rivals went at it, trading holds and near-falls before Cole's knee strike sealed the deal (7:13). It was an intense, hard-hitting affair that left both competitors looking like they'd just gone through a war.

The Bottom Line

All in all, AEW brought the heat to Elmont, New York. The Lucha Brothers retained their tag titles in a thrilling match, while Nyla Rose and her team got the best of Ruby Soho's squad. On the undercard, Hook showed off his potential, and Adam Cole proved once again why he's one of the best in the business.
