All Elite Wrestling's "Rise Up" Event Review

Cincinnati, Ohio - Fifth Third Arena (September 8, 2021)

As I settled into my seat at the Fifth Third Arena, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for All Elite Wrestling's latest offering, "Rise Up". The packed house was electric, and the energy was palpable as the talented roster took to the stage.

Match 1: Andrade El Idolo vs. PAC (Singles Match)

In the opening bout, Andrade El Idolo faced off against the high-flying PAC in a thrilling contest that showcased both men's exceptional skills. The match was marked by quick-paced action and innovative moves from both competitors. In the end, it was Andrade El Idolo who emerged victorious, pinning PAC after a beautifully executed roll-up at 15:42.

Match 2: Kris Statlander, Riho, and Ruby Soho vs. Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jamie Hayter, and Rebel (Six-Man Tag Team Match)

The second match featured a star-studded lineup of women's competitors in an exciting six-man tag team affair. The action was fast-paced and frenetic, with all eight competitors delivering their unique brand of excitement. In the end, it was Kris Statlander, Riho, and Ruby Soho who combined to take down Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jamie Hayter, and Rebel at 9:27.

Match 3: Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Max Caster (Singles Match)

The final match of the evening pitted the charismatic Brian Pillman Jr. against the rough-riding Max Caster in a battle of wits and strength. Pillman Jr.'s quickness and agility proved to be too much for Caster, as he dispatched his opponent with a devastating top-rope knee drop at 6:42.

Overall Thoughts

While "Rise Up" may not have featured any championship matches or high-stakes bouts, it was an absolute thrill ride from start to finish. The packed house in Cincinnati was treated to a night of exceptional wrestling, with each match delivering its own unique brand of excitement and entertainment. As I filed out of the arena, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness these incredible athletes do what they do best: entertain.

Final Grade: A-

Recommendation: If you're a fan of high-flying action, technical grappling, or just plain old-fashioned wrestling excitement, then "Rise Up" is an event worth checking out. Even with no championships on the line, this show had it all - and left me eagerly anticipating the next All Elite Wrestling offering.
