The Ryogoku Rumble: AJPW's Latest Pay-Per-View Delivers

Tokyo, Japan - The venerable Ryogoku Kokugikan played host to the latest installment of All Japan Pro Wrestling's (AJPW) esteemed pay-per-view tradition, "The Ryogoku Rumble," on March 21st. Before a raucous crowd of 8,000 enthusiastic fans, some of the sport's most accomplished grapplers clashed in a series of high-stakes matches that left all parties involved with much to gain and even more to lose.

Tag Team Tussles

The evening's festivities commenced with a pair of tag team contests. In the opening bout, Kazushi Miyamoto and Masanobu Fuchi partnered up to topple Yasufumi Nakanoue and Zodiac in a spirited 5:08 affair. Later on, KAI and Kaz Hayashi forged an unlikely alliance to vanquish BUSHI and Hiroshi Yamato in a hard-hitting 8:58 match.

Six-Man Mayhem

The Six-Man Tag Team Match pitted the stalwart trio of Big Van Vader, Jesse White, and Ryota Hama against the unconventional Voodoo Murders (MAZADA, Rene Dupree, and TARU). Despite their numerical disadvantage, the latter's unorthodox tactics kept them in the hunt until a decisive series of moves by Vader and his partners sealed the deal at 12:16.

Title Tussles

The evening's marquee attractions revolved around two championship bouts. Strong BJ (Daisuke Sekimoto and Yuji Okabayashi) successfully defended their All Asia Tag Team Titles against an eager challenger, while Keiji Mutoharnessed his considerable experience to outmaneuver Daichi Hashimoto in a compelling singles match.

In the evening's co-main event, Jushin Thunder Liger and Yuji Nagata demonstrated why they're considered two of Japan's finest, outlasting Masakatsu Funaki and Minoru Suzuki in an 8:26 tag team thriller.

Junior Heavyweight Championship

The AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Title was up for grabs in the form of a grueling contest between champion Minoru and challenger Shuji Kondo. The latter pushed the champ to his limits, but ultimately fell short at 22:05.

Tag Team Championship

In the night's second title tilt, Voodoo Murders (Joe Doering and KONO) dethroned Taiyo Kea and Takao Omori to claim the AJPW World Tag Team Titles in a tense 21:15 affair.

Triple Crown Showdown

The evening's main event saw Suwama and KENSO collide for the AJPW Triple Crown Title. This contest, which clocked in at an impressive 29:25, featured both competitors giving it their all in a match that ebbed and flowed like a tidal wave. In the end, Suwama emerged victorious, his arm raised in triumph as the crowd roared in approval.

As "The Ryogoku Rumble" came to a close, it was clear that AJPW's latest pay-per-view offering had delivered in spades, providing fans with an evening of high-quality wrestling that will be remembered for some time to come. For Zohash.com, this reporter can confidently state that the evening's events have only added fuel to the fire, as the anticipation builds for what lies ahead in the world of All Japan Pro Wrestling.
