Last night's CMLL event at the iconic Arena Mexico was a treat for fans of lucha libre. A packed house witnessed some incredible matches, with standout performances from many of the promotion's top talent.
Match 1: Best Two Out Of Three Falls Tag Team Match Miss Guerrera and Tiffany took on Lady Shadow and La Guerrera in an entertaining opening contest. The two teams traded holds and near-falls throughout, but it was Miss Guerrera and Tiffany who emerged victorious, winning the match with a series of quick roll-ups.
Match 2: Best Two Out Of Three Falls Six Man Tag Team Match In what proved to be one of the matches of the night, Capitan Suicida, Electrico, and Valiente Jr. defeated Grako, Inquisidor, and Vegas in a hard-hitting six-man tag team match. The action was fast-paced and intense, with all six competitors giving it their all.
Match 3: Best Two Out Of Three Falls Six Man Tag Team Match Halcon Suriano Jr., Hombre Bala Jr., and Neon took on Los Indestructibles (Apocalipsis, Cholo, and Disturbio) in another thrilling six-man tag team match. The outcome was never certain, with both teams delivering some fantastic moves. In the end, Halcon Suriano Jr.'s team came out on top.
Match 4: Best Two Out Of Three Falls Eight Man Tag Team Match The main event of the evening saw Andromeda, Hera, Metalica, and Olympia face off against Johnnie Robbie, Makoto, Mei Suruga, and Sumie Sakai in an eight-man tag team match. This one was a real barnburner, with all eight competitors putting everything on the line. In the end, it was the CMLL quartet who emerged victorious.
Match 5: Mexican National Light Heavyweight Title Match The main event of the evening saw Esfinge put his Mexican National Light Heavyweight Title on the line against the formidable Mephisto. This one was a real clash of styles, with Esfinge's high-flying antics pitted against Mephisto's brutal, hard-hitting approach. In the end, it was Esfinge who retained his title.
Match 6: Best Two Out Of Three Falls Six Man Tag Team Match The evening concluded with Octagon, Star Jr., and Valiente taking on El Barbaro Cavernario, El Terrible, and Hechicero in a high-stakes six-man tag team match. This one was an absolute thrill ride, with all six competitors delivering some truly spectacular moves. In the end, it was Octagon's team who emerged victorious.
Overall, last night's CMLL event at Arena Mexico was a real treat for fans of lucha libre. With so many talented wrestlers on display, it's no wonder that this promotion remains one of the most popular in Mexico.
