The Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre's (CMLL) annual "Fiesta de las Estrellas" Pay-Per-View event did not disappoint on a cold winter night in Mexico City. The packed Arena Mexico was electric as the CMLL faithful witnessed six matches featuring some of the promotion's top talent.
Match 1: Pierrothito and Ultimo Dragoncito vs. Pequeno Olimpico and Shockercito
The evening kicked off with a high-flying opener between two teams of pint-sized luchadores. In a Best Two Out Of Three Falls Tag Team Match, Pierrothito and Ultimo Dragoncito managed to outmaneuver their opponents, taking the match 2-0 in just 5 minutes and 31 seconds.
Match 2: Futuro, Max Star, and Neon vs. Crixus, Difunto, and Raider
Next up was a Six Man Tag Team Match featuring a mix of veterans and newcomers. The trio of Futuro, Max Star, and Neon proved too strong for their foes, winning in a time-honored 13 minutes and 46 seconds.
Match 3: Andromeda, La Jarochita, and Marcela vs. La Metalica, Stephanie Vaquer, and Zeuxis
The women's division took center stage with three teams of talented females. In the end, it was Andromeda, La Jarochita, and Marcela who emerged victorious in a 10-minute and 1-second match.
Match 4: Los Hermanos Chavez and Templario vs. El Triangulo (El Hijo del Villano III, Villano III Jr., and Zandokan Jr.)
Los Hermanos Chavez and Templario put their differences aside to take on the trio of Villanos in a hard-hitting Six Man Tag Team Match. The winning team's combined strength proved too much for El Triangulo, as they claimed victory in 15 minutes and 34 seconds.
Match 5: Atlantis Jr. vs. Soberano Jr.
The highly anticipated singles match between two of CMLL's top stars did not disappoint. In a thrilling Best Two Out Of Three Falls Match, Atlantis Jr. outlasted Soberano Jr. in a grueling 19 minutes and 30 seconds.
Main Event: Andrade El Idolo, Brillante Jr., and Espanto Jr. vs. Los Depredadores (Magia Blanca, Magnus, and Volador Jr.)
The evening concluded with the main event, pitting two teams of high-flying luchadores against each other in a Six Man Tag Team Match. Andrade El Idolo, Brillante Jr., and Espanto Jr. proved too much for Los Depredadores, winning in 17 minutes and 9 seconds.
In conclusion, CMLL's "Fiesta de las Estrellas" PPV event was an excellent showcase of the promotion's top talent. With a mix of high-flying action, technical grappling, and hard-hitting matches, there was something for everyone on this stacked card. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and catch the replay.
