ECW's "The Extreme Returns" PPV Review

Greetings, fellow wrestling enthusiasts! I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on last night's Extreme Championship Wrestling pay-per-view event, "The Extreme Returns". This card showcased some of the promotion's most talented grapplers, and I'm here to break it all down for you.

Early Match Mayhem: Tanaka vs. Mahoney

We kicked things off with Masato Tanaka taking on Balls Mahoney in a singles match. Tanaka's high-flying offense was on full display as he dropped the powerful Mahoney with a beautiful plancha. In the end, it was Tanaka's speed and agility that proved too much for the rugged Mahoney, securing a win in just 9:15.

Three-Way Chaos: Guido vs. Whipwreck, Diamond, Musketeer, Prodigy

The next bout featured Little Guido facing off against Mikey Whipwreck, Simon Diamond, The Musketeer, and The Prodigy in a wild three-way dance. This match was all about high-flying action, with each competitor showcasing their unique style. In the end, it was Guido's cunningness that earned him the victory in 7:15.

Singles Showdowns: Kash vs. Anderson, Chetti and Nova vs. Da Baldies/Doring and Roadkill

The card continued with Kid Kash defeating CW Anderson in a singles match (5:57), followed by Chris Chetti and Super Nova teaming up to take down Da Baldies (Angel and DeVito) and Danny Doring and Roadkill in a thrilling tag-team three-way dance (6:32). These early matches set the tone for an exciting evening of wrestling.

Tajiri vs. Corino, A Thrilling Encounter

Yoshihiro Tajiri put on a show against Steve Corino, showcasing his impressive striking and submission skills. The two competitors went toe-to-toe in a back-and-forth contest that left the crowd on the edge of their seats. In the end, it was Tajiri's technical prowess that earned him the win in 10:22.

Rhino and Sandman Clash for ECW TV Title

The main event of the evening saw Rhino challenge The Sandman for the ECW World Television Championship. These two powerhouses brought the house down with their intense brawl, which culminated in a thrilling table spot that left both competitors reeling. In the end, it was Rhino's sheer strength and momentum that earned him the victory (6:15).

Lynn vs. RVD, A Long-Awaited Showdown

The penultimate match pitted Jerry Lynn against Rob Van Dam in a highly anticipated singles bout. These two wrestling veterans put on an absolute clinic, trading holds and near-falls for nearly 20 minutes. In the end, it was Lynn's grit and determination that earned him the win (19:54).

Justin Credible Wins ECW Heavyweight Title

The main event of the evening saw Justin Credible challenge Lance Storm for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. These two competitors put on a thrilling contest, with Credible's cunningness ultimately proving too much for the challenger. In the end, it was Credible who emerged victorious (12:28), retaining his title.

The Verdict

Overall, "The Extreme Returns" PPV event delivered an action-packed evening of professional wrestling. While some matches may have been more memorable than others, each competitor brought their A-game to the table. If you're a fan of ECW or just looking for some top-notch wrestling action, I highly recommend checking out this pay-per-view event.

That's all for now, folks! Until next time, stay extreme!
