ECW's "Beachwood Battles" Delivers Thrills and Spills

Marietta, Georgia - The Cobb County Civic Center played host to Extreme Championship Wrestling's latest pay-per-view extravaganza, "Beachwood Battles," and the packed house was treated to a night of unforgettable action. ECW's loyal legion of fans were in attendance as seven matches took center stage, featuring some of the promotion's most exciting talents.

The festivities kicked off with a tag team bout between Super Nova and The Blue Meanie and The FBI (Little Guido and Tracy Smothers). In a match that showcased both teams' technical prowess, the winners emerged victorious, pinning their opponents in 9:28. A decent opener, but one that didn't quite set the tone for the evening to come.

Things picked up significantly with Justin Credible's singles encounter against Mikey Whipwreck. The high-flying Whipwreck was no match for Credible's power and cunning, as he submitted his opponent in 9:53. A solid performance from both men, but not quite on the same level as some of the other matches on the card.

The ECW World Tag Team Titles were on the line as Chris Candido and Lance Storm put their titles on the line against Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney. This hard-hitting encounter saw the champions emerge victorious in 12:04, with Candido securing the pin following a vicious Candido Driver. An excellent match that showcased the strengths of all four competitors.

Next up was Bam Bam Bigelow taking on New Jack in a battle of brawn. As expected, this one was an intense, physical encounter that saw Bigelow's superior strength ultimately prevail, resulting in a win via pinfall in 8:27. Not exactly a technical masterpiece, but perfect for fans looking for a good old-fashioned slobberknocker.

The main event tag team match pitted The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer against The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley). This was the kind of match that only ECW can deliver: a wild, chaotic affair with plenty of chair shots, tables, and just general mayhem. In the end, it was the dream team that emerged victorious, pinning their opponents in 11:19.

The penultimate match saw Rob Van Dam challenge Sabu for the ECW World Television Title. This one was all about the high-flying action, with both men trading moves and near-falls aplenty. In a shocking turn of events, the match ended in a time-limit draw at the 30-minute mark, leaving the title situation up in the air.

Finally, Shane Douglas put his ECW Heavyweight Title on the line against Al Snow. This was the kind of intense, back-and-forth match that only these two could deliver. In the end, it was Douglas who emerged victorious, retaining his title with a pinfall victory in 13:05.

In conclusion, "Beachwood Battles" was an excellent addition to ECW's pay-per-view legacy. While not every match was a masterpiece, the overall quality of the card was high, and fans were treated to some truly unforgettable moments. If you're a fan of professional wrestling that's more about hard-hitting action than fancy moves and pretentiousness, then ECW is definitely the promotion for you.
