Impact Wrestling: "Crossroads" Pay Per View (Taped)
Orlando, Florida, USA - Universal Studios - April 22nd, 2017
The latest installment of Impact Wrestling's "Crossroads" pay-per-view event, taped live at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, delivered a thrilling mix of matches featuring some of the promotion's top talent. Here's my report on the night's action:
Tag Team Match: The Veterans Of War (Mayweather and Wilcox) defeated Fallah Bahh and Mario Bokara in a fast-paced opener that saw both teams trading holds and moves. In the end, it was the Veterans Of War who came out on top, securing the win with a well-executed double-team maneuver.
Singles Match: Laurel Van Ness showcased her impressive technical grappling skills to take down Ava Storie in just 5:17 of action. The young upstart demonstrated a keen sense of timing and precision to secure the submission victory, further solidifying her status as one of Impact's top female competitors.
Singles Match: Mahabali Shera continued his winning ways by defeating Marshe Rockett in another quick match, clocking in at just 4:40. Shera's size and strength advantage proved too much for Rockett to overcome, leaving the Indian powerhouse with a decisive victory under his belt.
Singles Match: Matt Morgan flexed his muscles to dispatch KM in a battle of power and strength. The big man's sheer force was too much for KM to handle, leading to a convincing 7:34 win that showcased Morgan's formidable abilities in the ring.
Singles Match: Davey Richards put on an impressive display of high-flying action to defeat Suicide in a match that saw both men trading moves and near-falls. In the end, it was Richards' technical expertise that gave him the edge, as he secured the win with a slick submission hold that left Suicide reeling.
Singles Match: Rosemary continued her dominance over Sienna, besting her opponent via submission in just 6:00 of action. The powerhouse's aggressive style and quickness proved too much for Sienna to handle, leaving the latter reeling as Rosemary celebrated another victory.
Singles Match: Eddie Edwards got the better of Eli Drake in a hard-hitting contest that saw both men trading blows and near-falls. In the end, it was Edwards' determination and resilience that gave him the edge, as he secured the win with a well-timed submission hold that left Drake gasping for air.
Impact World Title Match: Lashley successfully defended his Impact World Championship against Moose in the main event of the evening. The two behemoths clashed in an intense battle that saw both men trading moves and near-falls, but ultimately it was Lashley's cunning and athleticism that gave him the edge. He secured the win with a crushing spear, leaving Moose reeling as he celebrated his title retention.
Overall, "Crossroads" delivered a solid pay-per-view experience for Impact fans, featuring some exciting matches and impressive performances from many of the promotion's top stars. With Lashley still riding high atop the Impact World Championship mountain, it'll be interesting to see who can challenge him next. Until then, stay tuned for more updates from the world of professional wrestling!
