MLW's Star-Studded Pay-Per-View Delivers Thrills and Spills
Cicero Stadium, Cicero, Illinois - November 2, 2019
In a card that boasted some of the best talent in professional wrestling today, Major League Wrestling (MLW) served up a pay-per-view event for the ages. The packed Cicero Stadium bore witness to a series of electrifying matches, each one more thrilling than the last.
The opening contest saw The Von Erichs (Marshall and Ross von Erich) put their MLW World Tag Team Titles on the line against The Dynasty (MJF and Richard Holliday). In a high-energy Texas Tornado Match, the young Von Erich brothers proved they're more than just a passing fad. Their athleticism and tag-team prowess ultimately led to a 9:44 victory over The Dynasty.
Next up was a six-man tag team affair featuring Injustice (Jordan Oliver, Kotto Brazil, and Myron Reed) against Gringo Loco, Puma King, and Septimo Dragon. This chaotic bout saw each competitor giving it their all, with the end result being an 10:18 triumph for Injustice.
The main event of the evening's first half was a highly anticipated MLW World Middleweight Title Match between Teddy Hart and Austin Aries. Hart, determined to prove he's the best in the world at 215 pounds or less, battled valiantly but ultimately fell short, as Aries secured the pin in 18:33.
In a singles match that showcased two of the most skilled competitors on the MLW roster, Low Ki defeated Brian Pillman Jr. via submission in just 8:12. This was an absolute masterclass in grappling and striking, with both men trading holds and showing off their impressive arsenal of moves.
The fifth contest pitted Tom Lawlor against Timothy Thatcher in a singles match that saw Lawlor's cunning and experience ultimately prevail over the plucky Thatcher, as Lawlor emerged victorious after 15:27.
Next up was a thrilling Stairway to Hell Three-Way Ladder Match featuring Mance Warner, Bestia 666, and Jimmy Havoc. In a match that defied gravity and logic, Warner outmaneuvered his opponents to claim the victory in an impressive 14:01.
The penultimate contest saw Alexander Hammerstone put his MLW National Openweight Title on the line against Davey Boy Smith Jr. In a hard-hitting affair, Hammerstone's power and strength ultimately proved too much for Smith, as he retained his title after 13:27.
Finally, in the main event of the evening, Jacob Fatu challenged LA Park in an MLW World Heavyweight Title No Disqualification Match. In a battle that saw both men push each other to their limits, Fatu's sheer size and strength ultimately proved too much for Park, as he captured the title after 19:58.
In conclusion, this MLW pay-per-view event was a true testament to the promotion's commitment to delivering high-octane action and unforgettable matches. With its star-studded roster and innovative match concepts, MLW continues to establish itself as one of the top professional wrestling promotions in the world today.
