"Wrestle Kingdom IV" Recap: NJPW Delivers Thrilling Pay-Per-View

The first of two big tag team matches saw NO LIMIT take down The Motor City Machine Guns in a thrilling encounter. Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro Takahashi's chemistry was on full display as they outmaneuvered Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, claiming victory at 12:39.
Match 5: Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson) vs. Seigigun (Wataru Inoue & Yuji Nagata)
In a battle for the IWGP Tag Team Titles, Bad Intentions successfully defended their championships against Seigigun. The powerhouse duo of Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson proved too strong for Wataru Inoue and Yuji Nagata, retaining their titles at 17:23.
Match 6: Prince Devitt vs. Davey Richards
Prince Devitt successfully defended his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title against the challenger Davey Richards. This highly competitive match saw both men give it their all, but in the end, Devitt's experience and skill earned him the win at 13:04.
Match 7: CHAOS (Takashi Iizuka & Toru Yano) vs. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma)
The final tag team match of the evening saw CHAOS take down Great Bash Heel in a fun and frenetic contest. Takashi Iizuka and Toru Yano's teamwork was on full display as they outwrestled Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma, securing victory at 10:46.
Match 8: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Hirooki Goto
In a battle of two of NJPW's finest, Hiroshi Tanahashi emerged victorious over Hirooki Goto in an excellent singles match. Tanahashi's technical grappling skills and experience proved too much for Goto, who put up a great fight but ultimately fell short at 16:55.
Main Event: Satoshi Kojima vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (IWGP Heavyweight Title)
The main event saw Satoshi Kojima successfully defend his IWGP Heavyweight Title against the challenger Shinsuke Nakamura in an instant classic. This back-and-forth match featured both men trading holds and moves, but in the end, Kojima's power and experience earned him the win at 19:17.
Final Thoughts
"Wrestle Kingdom IV" was a resounding success for NJPW, featuring some of the best matches and moments from any pay-per-view event this year.
