In another surprise result, Yuji Nagata outmaneuvered Genichiro Tenryu via submission at 11:28. Yoshihiro Takayama also notched a win in Block B, besting Kensuke Sasaki with a pinfall victory at 14:40.

Shinsuke Nakamura Falls to Katsuyori Shibata

The final match of the evening saw Shinsuke Nakamura face off against Katsuyori Shibata. Despite his reputation as one of the top young stars in NJPW, Nakamura was unable to overcome Shibata's determined efforts. The latter secured a decisive win via pinfall at 12:00.
