The penultimate event of the year has come and gone, leaving fans on the edge of their seats as Togi Makabe emerged victorious in the G1 Climax 2009 Final match. The packed Ryogoku Kokugikan witnessed an incredible night of wrestling, featuring some of the best matches and performances we've seen all year.
Match 1: Tajiri vs. Kazuchika Okada
The night kicked off with a thrilling singles contest between Tajiri and Kazuchika Okada. These two veterans put on a show, trading near-falls and high-flying moves in a highly entertaining match that lasted just over six minutes. In the end, it was Tajiri's quickness and agility that allowed him to snatch the win.
Match 2: Prince Devitt, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Tiger Mask vs. Jushin Thunder Liger, Milano Collection AT, and Taichi

The penultimate match saw two top-notch tag teams face off against each other. In the end, it was Masahiro Chono and Yuji Nagata who emerged victorious.
Match 8: Togi Makabe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - G1 Climax 2009 Final
And then there was the main event. The final match of the night saw Togi Makabe face off against Shinsuke Nakamura in a battle that had it all. These two competitors traded moves and near-falls, with neither man giving an inch. In the end, it was Makabe who emerged victorious, securing the win in an incredible 18:29-long match.
Final Thoughts
The G1 Climax 2009 Finale was an absolute thrill ride from start to finish. With some of the best matches and performances we've seen all year, fans were treated to a night that will be remembered for a long time to come. Togi Makabe's victory in the main event capped off an incredible tournament, and set the stage for what promises to be an exciting year ahead.
