NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING DELIVERS THRILLING SHOW AT RYOGOKU KOKUGIKAN

Tokyo, Japan - The Ryogoku Kokugikan played host to a fantastic evening of professional wrestling as New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) presented its latest TV-show. A sold-out crowd of 7,591 enthusiastic fans was treated to an action-packed card featuring some of the best talent in the world.

The opening bout saw Suzuki-gun's quartet of El Desperado, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru take on a team of younger wrestlers in Hirai Kawato, Jushin Thunder Liger, KUSHIDA, and Tiger Mask. Despite the significant size difference, the underdogs gave it their all, ultimately falling to Suzuki-gun in 7 minutes and 4 seconds.

The first match featuring top talent saw CHAOS' Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, and YOSHI-HASHI clash with BULLET CLUB's Chase Owens, Tanga Loa, and Yujiro Takahashi. The two teams traded holds and near-falls before CHAOS emerged victorious in 7 minutes and 20 seconds.

The tag team division was well-represented with two matches on the card. Later, BULLET CLUB's Bad Luck Fale, Cody, Hangman Page, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson combined forces to take down War Machine, Katsuya Kitamura, Ricochet, and Ryusuke Taguchi in a thrilling 8-minute and 14-second affair.

The main event quarterfinals saw four top stars compete in six-man tag team matches. David Finlay, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kota Ibushi formed an unstoppable trio, defeating Los Ingobernables de Japon's BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, and Tetsuya Naito in 6 minutes and 57 seconds.

The G1 Climax 2017 continued with three matches featuring Block B competitors. Juice Robinson secured a hard-fought victory over Michael Elgin in 11 minutes and 48 seconds, while Tama Tonga emerged victorious against SANADA in a similar time frame. Toru Yano caused the upset of the evening, defeating Minoru Suzuki in just 6 minutes and 56 seconds.

EVIL continued his dominant run through the G1 Climax, besting Satoshi Kojima in a grueling 14-minute and 23-second match. The main event saw Kenny Omega face Kazuchika Okada in an absolute classic. The two wrestling greats engaged in a back-and-forth contest that ultimately ended with Omega securing the win in an incredible 24 minutes and 40 seconds.
