NJPW Returns to Osaka with Thrilling Card

The EDION Arena Osaka played host to a star-studded New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) card on August 6th, featuring a mix of high-flying action and intense brawls. The packed crowd of 3370 fans were treated to a night of unforgettable matches, as the likes of Bullet Club, United Empire, Los Ingobernables de Japon, and more took to the ring.

Tag Team Tussles and Six-Man Mayhem

The night kicked off with a thrilling eight-man tag team match featuring the Bullet Club (Chase Owens, EVIL, SHO, and Yujiro Takahashi) against David Finlay, Ryohei Oiwa, Tama Tonga, and Tomohiro Ishii. In a display of teamwork and athleticism, the Bullet Club emerged victorious in 8:47.

The United Empire (Aaron Henare and Jeff Cobb) then took on Team Filthy (Royce Isaacs and Tom Lawlor) in a hard-hitting tag team match. Despite their best efforts, Team Filthy couldn't overcome the might of the United Empire, who secured the win in 9:33.

Next up was a six-man tag team match pitting Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Juice Robinson, and KENTA) against Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, SANADA, and Tetsuya Naito). In an intense contest that saw all eight men give it their all, the Bullet Club ultimately came out on top in 7:16.

G1 Climax Action

The main event of the evening was a quartet of G1 Climax matches, featuring some of NJPW's top talent. In Block D, YOSHI-HASHI bested El Phantasmo in a closely contested match that went the distance at 15:47.

Lance Archer then took on Toru Yano in Block A, with the former emerging victorious in 9:14. Next up was Zack Sabre Jr., who edged out Hirooki Goto in Block C at 17:31.

Finally, Jay White and Great-OKhan clashed in Block B, with the former securing the win in a thrilling match that lasted 18:14.

Block D Showstopper

The evening's final match saw Shingo Takagi face off against Will Ospreay in Block D. In an absolute barnburner, Takagi ultimately outlasted Ospreay to secure the win at 21:55. The crowd was left on their feet as the two combatants left everything they had in the ring.
