August 5th, 2024, marked another unforgettable evening of professional wrestling as New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) brought the action to Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The sold-out crowd of 1,503 enthusiastic fans bore witness to a stacked card that featured a mix of thrilling tag team matches and high-stakes G1 Climax 2024 bouts.
Tag Team Tussles
The night kicked off with two tag team affairs that showcased the best of NJPW's emerging talent. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI and Yota Tsuji) got the party started by defeating Katsuya Murashima and Shoma Kato in a fast-paced, 3:40 match. The opening bout was characterized by rapid-fire exchanges and some impressive high-flying from BUSHI.
Next up were the United Empire (Francesco Akira, HENARE, and Jeff Cobb) taking on Guerrillas Of Destiny, Oleg Boltin, and Toru Yano in an eight-man tag team match. This clash featured a plethora of powerbombs, suplexes, and near-falls, ultimately culminating in a 3:51 victory for the United Empire.

The tag team matches were followed by two singles contests that showcased some incredible wrestling. House Of Torture (Ren Narita and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) proved too cunning for Just 5 Guys (TAKA Michinoku and Yuya Uemura), securing a hard-fought win in 5:52.
Meanwhile, Hirooki Goto and Tomoaki Honma combined forces to take down BULLET CLUB War Dogs (David Finlay and Gedo) in just 2:52. This match was all about crisp tag team sequences and effective teamwork from the veteran duo.
G1 Climax 2024 Main Event Mayhem
The second half of the card featured four G1 Climax 2024 matches, each with its own unique storyline and drama. Great-O-Khan started things off by defeating Callum Newman in a competitive, 8:17 bout that showcased both men's impressive strength.
Jake Lee then took down Gabe Kidd in a methodical, 4:53 match that highlighted Lee's technical prowess. Next up was Zack Sabre Jr., who needed just 0:19 to submit EVIL in what was essentially a squash match.
The main event of the evening saw Tetsuya Naito and Shota Umino engage in an unforgettable G1 Climax 2024 match that clocked in at 14:48. This bout featured some thrilling near-falls, including a spectacular top-rope Hurricanrana from Naito.
Finally, SANADA capped off the night by besting Shingo Takagi in a hard-hitting, 19:55 encounter that showcased both men's incredible athleticism and resilience.
