A sold-out crowd of 1607 was treated to an action-packed evening of professional wrestling as New Japan Pro Wrestling presented a thrilling TV show. The event featured a mix of tag team and individual matches, with the main attraction being the ongoing G1 Climax 2024 tournament.
The night kicked off with a pair of tag team matches. In the opener, Oleg Boltin and Toru Yano teamed up to take down Katsuya Murashima and Shoma Kato in an energetic contest that clocked in at 04:08. The momentum continued to build as BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Gabe Kidd and Jake Lee) outlasted Just 5 Guys (SANADA and TAKA Michinoku) in a hard-hitting affair that lasted 04:54.
The first of the night's two tag team matches featuring wrestlers from New Japan's top divisions saw Shota Umino and Tomoaki Honma overcome the formidable House Of Torture duo of Dick Togo and EVIL. The veteran tandem proved too much for their opponents, claiming victory in a time-honored tradition at 07:10.
In what was arguably the match of the night, United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, and Great-O-Khan) pulled off an impressive upset against Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Shingo Takagi, and Tetsuya Naito). The six-man tag team contest featured a series of near-falls and high-impact maneuvers before the Empire trio emerged victorious in 08:30.
The G1 Climax 2024 tournament continued to captivate the audience as Oleg Boltin added another win to his ledger, besting Yuya Uemura in a competitive outing. Next up was HENARE, who defeated Hirooki Goto in a match that saw both men give it their all but ultimately ended with the victor standing tall at 12:46.
David Finlay secured an impressive victory over El Phantasmo, surviving a late surge from his opponent to claim the win in 12:30. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Ren Narita and Konosuke Takeshita clashed in what turned out to be an instant classic. The match featured several close calls before Takeshita emerged victorious at 16:47.
Yota Tsuji continued his strong run through the tournament, defeating Jeff Cobb in a grueling contest that saw both men push themselves to their limits. The final score was 11:37, with Tsuji adding another win to his growing total.
In what was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening, Ren Narita and Konosuke Takeshita delivered an instant classic that left the crowd begging for more.
