Kobe, Japan - The World Hall in Kobe, Hyogo was abuzz with energy last night as New Japan Pro Wrestling presented their annual "Invasion Attack" pay-per-view extravaganza. The night began with Suzuki-gun (Taichi and TAKA Michinoku) taking on Kyosuke Mikami and Tomoaki Honma in a Tag Team Match. The bout was a frenetic, hard-hitting affair that saw the experienced Suzuki-gun duo outmaneuver their opponents en route to an 8:30-minute victory.

Hoshino Memorial Match

Next up was Kantaro Hoshino Memorial Match between Koji Kanemoto and Makai 28. In a testament to the enduring legacy of the late great Hoshino, these two warriors put on a show that would make even the most seasoned fan proud. Kanemoto emerged victorious in an impressive 5:30 minutes.

Eight-Man Mayhem Ensues

The action didn't let up as CHAOS (Gedo, Takashi Iizuka, Tomohiro Ishii, and Toru Yano) clashed with Hirooki Goto, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Killer Rabbit, and Tama Tonga in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match. This wild affair featured more than a few near-falls, chair shots, and table-breaking moments before CHAOS emerged victorious in 12:42 minutes.

Nagata's Statement

Yuji Nagata made his presence felt with a dominant performance against Hideo Saito in their Singles Match. The veteran grappler showcased his technical prowess en route to a convincing 9:24-minute win.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title on the Line

Prince Devitt successfully defended his IWP Junior Heavyweight Championship against KUSHIDA, but not before the challenger gave him a run for his money. Devitt's superior experience ultimately told in an excellent 10:00-minute match.

Six-Man Mayhem Erupts

No Remorse Corps (Rocky Romero and Alex Koslov) and Masato Tanaka teamed up to take on MVP, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Tiger Mask in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. This fast-paced affair featured plenty of high-flying action before No Remorse Corps emerged victorious in 10:02 minutes.

Singles Showdowns

Minoru Suzuki continued his winning ways with a grueling 13:02-minute victory over Wataru Inoue, while Tetsuya Naito bested Yujiro Takahashi in an equally impressive 12:37-minute match. Meanwhile, Togi Makabe outlasted Lance Archer in an intense 11:22-minute bout.

Main Event Magic

And then there was the main event - a battle for the ages as Hiroshi Tanahashi challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWP Heavyweight Championship. This instant classic saw both competitors give it their all, but in the end, Tanahashi's experience and guile proved too much for Nakamura, leading to a well-deserved 26:07-minute victory.

Final Thoughts

"Invasion Attack" was an absolute must-see event that showcased NJPW's depth of talent and ability to craft compelling matches from top to bottom. If you missed this one, do yourself a favor and track it down - your taste buds will thank you!
