Report from the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan - October 9th, 2017

What a night it was at the hallowed halls of the Ryogoku Kokugikan! New Japan Pro Wrestling's latest TV broadcast delivered an absolute barnburner of a show, with some of the most electrifying action you'll see all year. Your correspondent is here to break down each match and give you the lowdown on what went down.

Match 1: Los Ingobernables de Japon vs. BULLET CLUB (Six Man Tag Team Match)

The night kicked off in style with a thrilling six-man tag team match featuring two of New Japan's most popular factions. The babyfaces from Los Ingobernables de Japon - Bushi, Hiromu Takahashi, and SANADA - took on the villainous BULLET CLUB trio of Bad Luck Fale, Leo Tonga, and Yujiro Takahashi. Match 2: CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & Toru Yano) vs. Suzuki-gun

Next up, two of New Japan's top tag teams clashed in a battle for supremacy. CHAOS stalwarts Hirooki Goto and Toru Yano put their skills to the test against the cunning Suzuki-gun duo of Minoru Suzuki and El Desperado. This one was all about technical grappling, with both pairs displaying their mastery of the art. In the end, CHAOS proved too strong, securing the win in a respectable 9:18.

Match 3: Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) vs. Ricochet & Ryusuke Taguchi (IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match)

Now it was time for some junior heavyweight action! The reigning champions, Roppongi 3K's SHO and YOH, put their titles on the line against the challengers, Ricochet and Ryusuke Taguchi. This one was a real barnburner, with all four men giving it their all in pursuit of victory. In the end, Roppongi 3K retained their straps in a thrilling 12:30.

Match 4: Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer) vs. War Machine (Hanson & Raymond Rowe) and Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) (IWGP Tag Team Title Three Way Elimination Match)

The main event of the night was this three-way tag team extravaganza! Killer Elite Squad, comprising Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer, took on the formidable War Machine duo of Hanson and Raymond Rowe, as well as the unpredictable Guerrillas Of Destiny pairing of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. The action was non-stop, with eliminations coming thick and fast. In the end, Killer Elite Squad emerged victorious in a grueling 16:10.

Match 5: BULLET CLUB (Cody, Kenny Omega & Marty Scurll) vs. CHAOS (Beretta, Jado & YOSHI-HASHI)

The villainous BULLET CLUB trio of Cody, Kenny Omega, and Marty Scurll took on the heroic CHAOS contingent of Beretta, Jado, and YOSHI-HASHI. This one was all about high-flying action, with all six men putting their bodies on the line. In the end, BULLET CLUB came out on top in a sizzling 13:42.

Match 6: Juice Robinson & Kota Ibushi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe

Next up, two pairs of established stars clashed in a battle for supremacy. The babyface duo of Juice Robinson and Kota Ibushi took on the experienced pairing of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Togi Makabe. This one was all about technical grappling and power-based moves, with both pairs displaying their mastery of the art. In the end, Juice and Kota emerged victorious in a competitive 10:26.

Match 7: Will Ospreay vs. KUSHIDA (IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match)

The junior heavyweight division took center stage next, as reigning champion Will Ospreay put his title on the line against the challenger, KUSHIDA.
