NJPW's Osaka Showdown: Omega and Tanahashi Steal the Spotlight

In front of a sold-out crowd of 5,480 at the EDION Arena Osaka, New Japan Pro Wrestling delivered a thrilling card that will be remembered for weeks to come. The November 5th show was a true testament to the promotion's ability to consistently produce high-quality matches and moments.

The evening kicked off with the Young Bucks taking on Dragon Lee and Titan in a Tag Team Match. While the opponents were evenly matched, it was the tandem of Matt and Nick Jackson that ultimately emerged victorious, securing the win in 7:18. A great way to get the crowd pumped for what was to come.

Next up was a Ten-Man Tag Team Match featuring Hirai Kawato, Juice Robinson, Jushin Thunder Liger, KUSHIDA, and Tiger Mask against Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Zack Sabre Jr.). This bout was all about the chaos that ensues when so many talented wrestlers are in one ring. In the end, the good guys prevailed in 5:19.

The action continued with TenKoji and Togi Makabe taking on BULLET CLUB (Chase Owens, Cody, and Yujiro Takahashi) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. This match saw some great exchanges between the teams, with TenKoji's Ten-man Lariat being the deciding factor in their 8:11 victory.

The Super Junior Tag Tournament 2017 Final was next, as Roppongi 3K (SHO and YOH) faced off against ACH and Ryusuke Taguchi. This was a fantastic match that showcased the skills of all four competitors. In the end, it was SHO and YOH who emerged victorious, securing their win in 15:51.

The main event segment began with CHAOS (Gedo, Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, and YOSHI-HASHI) facing off against Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA, and Tetsuya Naito). This was a hard-hitting affair that saw both teams giving it their all. The CHAOS unit ultimately prevailed in 12:07.

In the penultimate match of the evening, Minoru Suzuki defended his NEVER Openweight Title against Toru Yano in a Never Openweight Bullrope Death Match. As one would expect from these two competitors, this was an intense and brutal encounter that saw both men giving it their all. In the end, Suzuki emerged victorious, retaining his title in 15:21.

The first of the night's world championship matches took place next, as Marty Scurll put his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title on the line against Will Ospreay. This was an incredible match that showcased the aerial skills of both competitors. In the end, it was Scurll who retained his title, defeating Ospreay in a thrilling encounter.

The main event saw Kenny Omega defending his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title against Beretta. This was an intense and competitive match that saw both men giving it their all. In the end, Omega emerged victorious, retaining his title in 21:33.

The evening's final match saw Hiroshi Tanahashi put his IWGP Intercontinental Title on the line against Kota Ibushi. This was an incredible match that showcased the skills of both competitors. In the end, it was Tanahashi who emerged victorious, retaining his title in a thrilling encounter that clocked in at 29:26.

Overall, this was an excellent show from NJPW that will be remembered for weeks to come. With so many great matches and moments, it's no wonder that the crowd left happy and eager for more.
