ZOHASH.COM EXCLUSIVE

Hiroshima Sun Plaza, Hiroshima, Japan - February 9th, 2014

The NJPW faithful gathered in the Hiroshima Sun Plaza yesterday evening to witness an action-packed Pay-Per-View card that left fans on the edge of their seats. And yours truly was there to capture all the drama and excitement as it unfolded.

Tag Team Tussles

The opening bout saw El Desperado and Jushin Thunder Liger team up to take down BUSHI and Kota Ibushi in a thrilling tag-team match that had the crowd buzzing from the get-go. The 8:46 runtime belied the intensity of the action, as both teams traded near-falls and high-impact moves before the veteran duo emerged victorious.

Next up, Minoru Suzuki showed no quarter to Tama Tonga, dispatching his opponent in a mere 5:32 with a brutal-looking sleeper hold. The Suzuki-gun leader proved once again why he's one of the most feared men in the ring.

CHAOS Reigns Supreme

The CHAOS faction flexed its muscles with two consecutive victories. Takashi Iizuka and Toru Yano teamed up to take down Kazushi Sakuraba and Yuji Nagata, while Tomohiro Ishii and Yujiro Takahashi defeated Tetsuya Naito and Tomoaki Honma in a hard-hitting tag-team match.

Tournament Title Matches

The first of two tournament title matches saw Michael Tarver upset Hiroyoshi Tenzan via submission in 9:15, setting the stage for a potential showdown with Satoshi Kojima, who successfully defended his NWA World Heavyweight Title against Big Daddy Yum Yum in an intense 11:04 bout.

BULLET CLUB Dominates

The BULLET CLUB, led by Prince Devitt, proved why they're one of the top factions in NJPW. Bad Luck Fale, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, and Prince Devitt dominated Ryusuke Taguchi and Togi Makabe's Time Splitters, while Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson successfully defended their IWGP Tag Team Titles against Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer) in a hard-hitting 12:08 match.

Main Event Mayhem

And then there was the main event. Hiroshi Tanahashi's battle with Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Title was an instant classic, featuring non-stop action and drama that kept fans on their feet for over 22 minutes. In the end, Tanahashi emerged victorious, retaining his title in a match that will be remembered for years to come.

In conclusion, yesterday's NJPW Pay-Per-View card was a true masterclass in professional wrestling, featuring an incredible array of matches and a main event for the ages. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and track down the replay - your eyes (and your taste buds) will thank you!
