NJPW's "The New Beginning" Delivers Thrills and Spills at EDION Arena Osaka

February 11, 2017 - Osaka, Japan: In a night filled with action-packed matches, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) brought the house down at the EDION Arena Osaka in front of a packed crowd of 5,466 fans. The "New Beginning" tour stop featured a stacked card that saw some of the best wrestlers from around the world go toe-to-toe in a battle for supremacy.

The evening kicked off with TAKA Michinoku defeating Henare in a Singles Match (4:38), setting the tone for what would be a night filled with high-flying action and technical grappling. TenKoji, comprised of Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima, then took on KUSHIDA and Yoshitatsu in a Tag Team Match (6:57). The veteran duo emerged victorious, showcasing their years of experience against the younger opposition.

In what was arguably the match of the night, Juice Robinson, Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, and Yuji Nagata teamed up to take on CHAOS (Gedo, Hirooki Goto, Jado, and YOSHI-HASHI) in an Eight Man Tag Team Match (7:51). The action was non-stop, with each team trading moves and near-falls in a thrilling contest that left the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The Suzuki-gun trio of Minoru Suzuki, Taichi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru then faced off against CHAOS (Beretta, Kazuchika Okada, and Rocky Romero) in a Six Man Tag Team Match (10:27). The Suzuki-gun team's experience and cohesion ultimately proved too much for their opponents.

The main event of the evening saw Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL, and SANADA) put their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles on the line against Hiroshi Tanahashi, Manabu Nakanishi, and Ryusuke Taguchi. The match was a wild ride, with all six competitors giving it their all in a thrilling contest.

The evening's other main event saw Katsuyori Shibata successfully defend his RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title against Will Ospreay (13:51). The two competitors put on a technical masterpiece that showcased their skills and left the crowd in awe.

In one of the night's most highly anticipated matches, CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) faced off against Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma) and Suzuki-gun (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Takashi Iizuka) in an IWGP Tag Team Title Three-Way Match (12:31). The action was non-stop, with all six competitors giving it their all in a thrilling contest that left the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The evening's final two matches saw Hiromu Takahashi successfully defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title against Dragon Lee (18:23), and Tetsuya Naito retain his IWGP Intercontinental Title against Michael Elgin (36:17). Both matches were highly technical and showcased the skills of the competitors involved.

In a night filled with thrilling action, NJPW's "New Beginning" tour stop at the EDION Arena Osaka will be remembered for years to come.
