NOAH NIGHT IN YOKOHAMA: A MIX OF THRILLS AND FRUSTRATIONS

Yokohama Radiant Hall played host to Pro Wrestling NOAH's latest event on May 17th, and while it was far from a perfect night, there were still plenty of moments that left the crowd of 244 buzzing. In a card filled with an intriguing mix of established stars and up-and-coming talent, some matches shone brighter than others.

The evening kicked off with Tadasuke facing Hi69 in a Singles Match, and it was the young gun making his mark early on. A series of swift kicks and a picture-perfect senton saw Hi69 reeling, before Tadasuke finished him off with a vicious knee lift to secure the win at 8:19.

The first tag team match of the night saw Eita and Shuji Kondo take on Junta Miyawaki and Starboy Charlie. This was a battle of contrasting styles - Kondo's rugged, hard-hitting approach against the high-flying antics of the opposing duo. While it wasn't always the most cohesive effort, there were some nice moments, particularly when Eita tagged in and started dishing out his signature strikes. The winning team earned their victory at 10:19.

Next up was a six-man tag team affair featuring GLG (Anthony Greene, Jack Morris, and Jake Lee) taking on Daiki Inaba, Masa Kitamiya, and Takashi Sugiura. This was the match of the night by a country mile - an absolute barnburner that had everyone in attendance on their feet. From the opening bell to the final bell, these six men left everything they had in the ring, with GLG emerging victorious at 15:01.

Atsushi Kotoge's Singles Match against YO-HEY was another highlight of the night. The two men traded blows and near-falls in a frenetic pace that kept the crowd engaged from start to finish. In the end, Kotoge's superior strength told the tale as he submitted YO-HEY at 12:06.

Alejandro and Kaito Kiyomiya teamed up to take on Ulka Sasaki and Yu Owada in another tag team contest. This was a match that struggled to find its footing early on, but the introduction of Alejandro's fiery passion and Kiyomiya's technical prowess helped turn things around. The winning pair earned their victory at 17:52.

The main event saw Go Shiozaki face Ryohei Oiwa in a Singles Match with a time limit draw stipulation. This was a test of endurance that neither man was willing to give an inch on. In the end, they reached the 30-minute mark without a winner being declared - a fitting conclusion to a card that had its share of highs and lows.

While this may not have been the most polished NOAH event in recent memory, there were still enough standout moments to make it a worthwhile watch for fans of the promotion. With a few tweaks and improvements, the next show could be something truly special.
