Impact Wrestling Delivers Thrilling Card at Albany Armory
As we tune in to the latest episode of Impact Wrestling, broadcast live from the Albany Armory on May 3rd, it's clear that this promotion is still cooking up a storm. With a stacked card featuring some of the best talent in the business, we're treated to four electrifying matches that showcase the depth and diversity of the Impact roster.
First off, Xia Brookside takes on Ash By Elegance in a singles match that sees both competitors giving it their all. In the end, it's By Elegance who emerges victorious, but not before Brookside puts up one heck of a fight. This was a great way to kick things off, as it set the tone for the rest of the show and gave us a glimpse into the skillset of these two talented wrestlers.
Next up, Leon Slater squares off against Alan Angels in another singles match that's all about technical grappling. These two are evenly matched, but in the end, Slater's experience and savvy prove to be just enough to take him over the top. Another solid outing from both competitors, and we're already seeing a trend here: Impact is all about giving us the best wrestling possible.
Now things get really interesting as Frankie Kazarian takes on Steve Maclin. This one's got some real heat behind it, as these two have some serious history between them. And it shows – they go at each other tooth and nail, with neither willing to give an inch. In the end, it's Kazarian who comes out on top, but not before Maclin gives him a run for his money. This was a real barnburner of a match, folks.
Finally, we get the main event: a 16-man tag team match that brings together some of the biggest names in Impact. And what can I say? It's absolute chaos out there! With so many talented individuals involved, it's hard to know who to watch at any given moment – but that's exactly what makes this kind of match so compelling. In the end, Eric Young, Joe Hendry, Matt Hardy, Ryan Nemeth, Sami Callihan, Spitfire, and Steph De Lander come out on top, but not before every single person in that ring gives it their all.
All in all, Impact Wrestling's latest outing from Albany was a real treat. With four matches that each brought something unique to the table, we're reminded once again why this promotion is one of the best around. So if you haven't already, do yourself a favor and check out this episode – trust me, it's well worth your time.
Grade: A-
Match of the Night: The 16-man tag team match – just for its sheer chaos and unpredictability.
Star of the Show: Eric Young, who always seems to find a way to shine in these kinds of situations.
