IMPACT WRESTLING'S "NEWPORT NASTINESS" DELIVERS IN THE MEGAcorp PAVILION

Newport, Kentucky - May 17, 2024 - The MegaCorp Pavilion played host to a thrilling night of professional wrestling as Impact Wrestling brought its brand of high-flying action and hard-hitting drama to the heartland. Tonight's event, dubbed "Newport Nastiness," did not disappoint, with six matches that showcased the best of the best in the world of professional wrestling.

The evening kicked off with a non-title tag team match pitting Matt Hardy and Ryan Nemeth against The System (Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards). In a clash of styles, the veteran Hardy-Nemeth duo came out on top, defeating their opponents in 7:08. A well-executed combination move by Hardy allowed Nemeth to secure the pin, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Next up, The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) faced off against Sinner And Saint (Judas Icarus and Travis Williams). In a tag team match that was all about high-flying offense and rugged defense, The Rascalz emerged victorious in 4:21. A picture-perfect corkscrew plancha by Miguel sealed the deal for his team.

The first half of the evening concluded with a Kentucky Fight Club Tag Team Match featuring Cody Deaner and Jake Something taking on The Good Hands (Jason Hotch and John Skyler). This one was all about good old-fashioned brawling, with Deaner and Something coming out on top in 9:04. A thunderous powerslam by Deaner brought the curtain down on this brutal encounter.

The main event of the evening featured Jordynne Grace defending her Impact Knockouts Title against Marti Belle. In a clash that saw both women give it their all, Grace emerged victorious in 4:22. A devastating spear sent Belle crashing to the mat, allowing Grace to secure the pin and retain her title.

Tasha Steelz then took on Jody Threat in a singles match that was more about steeling (pun intended) than wrestling. In the end, it was Steelz who came out on top, pinning Threat in 4:46. A vicious running knee strike sent Threat into next week, allowing Steelz to celebrate her victory.

The penultimate match of the evening featured Trent Seven and Mike Bailey battling for an Impact X-Division Title #1 Contendership spot. In a back-and-forth affair that saw both men give it their all, Seven emerged victorious in 19:23. A picture-perfect Shooting Star Press sent Bailey crashing to the mat, allowing Seven to secure the pin and earn himself a shot at the X-Division crown.

As the dust settled on another thrilling night of Impact Wrestling action, one thing was clear: this promotion has once again delivered an event that will be remembered for weeks to come. Until next time, when the "Newport Nastiness" returns, it's been a wild ride in the world of professional wrestling. IMPACT WRESTLING - IT'S NOT JUST A SHOW, IT'S AN EXPERIENCE.
