EXTREME RULES REPORT: JUNE 13th, COLUMBUS, OHIO

The Nationwide Arena played host to the latest edition of WWE's flagship event, Extreme Rules, on June 13th, as a sell-out crowd of 9,000 wrestling enthusiasts bore witness to an unforgettable night of action-packed matches.

WWF WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Chris Benoit & Edge vs. La Resistance

In the opening match of the evening, reigning WWF World Tag Team Champions Chris Benoit and Edge successfully defended their titles against the formidable French duo, La Resistance. A high-flying sequence involving a diving headbutt from Edge preceded a vicious German suplex from Benoit, sealing the deal for the champion team in 10:08.

SINGLES MATCH: Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Tomko

The self-proclaimed "Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla" Chris Jerijo took on up-and-coming sensation Tyson Tomko in a singles match that saw the veteran grappler's quickness and cunning prove too much for his youthful opponent. A picture-perfect Lionsault from Jericho spelled doom for Tomko, resulting in a 5:59 victory.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Randy Orton vs. Shelton Benjamin

A battle of wits and athleticism played out between WWE Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton and challenger Shelton Benjamin. In the end, Orton's cunning and experience paid off as he successfully defended his title via a RKO in 14:48.

WWE WOMEN'S TITLE FATAL FOUR-WAY MATCH: Trish Stratus vs. Gail Kim, Lita & Victoria

The WWE Women's Championship was on the line as four of the division's top stars clashed in a thrilling Fatal Four-Way Match. In the end, it was Trish Stratus who emerged victorious, pinning all three opponents in succession to claim her second consecutive title reign.

SINGLES MATCH: Eugene vs. Jonathan Coachman

In an unlikely match-up, WWE superstar Eugene faced off against Jonathan Coachman, a former WWF personality turned wrestler. The underdog Eugene pulled off the upset of the evening, using his agility and quickness to outmaneuver the cocky Coachman en route to a 7:37 victory.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Chris Benoit vs. Kane

The main event of the evening saw reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit put his title on the line against the behemoth Kane. In a hard-hitting match that featured both men trading blows and delivering their respective finishers, Benoit managed to escape the clutches of the Big Red Machine, retaining his championship via a 18:20 victory.

HELL IN A CELL MATCH: Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

In what was billed as the main event of the evening, WWE's own Hell in a Cell Match took center stage as Triple H and Shawn Michaels put their reputations on the line in a brutal battle that would leave only one man standing. In an incredible display of endurance and determination, Triple H managed to outlast the Heartbreak Kid, emerging victorious after a grueling 47:26 match.
