Zohash Report: WWE Elimination Chamber 2013

New Orleans, Louisiana - February 17, 2013 (New Orleans Arena)

Attendance: 15,669

The Road to WrestleMania just got a whole lot more interesting as the WWE delivered a memorable Pay-Per-View event in the Big Easy. The Elimination Chamber card featured some thrilling matches, a few surprises, and a healthy dose of chaos.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Alberto Del Rio def. The Big Show (13:14)

The show opened with a bang as Del Rio successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against the massive Big Show. Despite Show's size advantage, Del Rio outsmarted him and used a series of swift kicks to secure the victory. A solid opener that set the tone for the rest of the night.

WWE United States Title Match: Antonio Cesaro def. The Miz (8:20)

Cesaro proved why he's one of the most underrated talents in the WWE by taking down Miz in a well-executed match. His European uppercut was particularly vicious, and it sealed the deal for him as the new United States Champion.

World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Elimination Chamber Match: Jack Swagger def. Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry, and Randy Orton (31:17)

This was an absolute barnburner of a match. The chaos that ensues when you put six talented individuals in a chamber is always entertaining, and this one delivered. In the end, Swagger emerged victorious, last eliminating Kane to earn himself a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins) def. John Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus (14:50)

The Shield continues to impress as they picked up another win against a formidable trio of opponents. Their teamwork is unparalleled, and their ability to adapt to different situations has made them nearly unbeatable.

Singles Match: Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston (3:55)

A quick and dirty match that served its purpose - getting the crowd moving with some high-flying action from both competitors. Ziggler's agility and Kingston's aerial attacks made for an enjoyable, if not particularly memorable, encounter.

WWE Divas Title Match: Kaitlyn def. Tamina Snuka (3:27)

In a match that was more about getting the title changed hands than anything else, Kaitlyn emerged victorious to claim her first WWE Divas Championship. The crowd was lukewarm at best, but hey, it's not like anyone was expecting a Match of the Year contender here.

WWE Title Match: The Rock def. CM Punk (20:55)

The main event was everything you'd hope for from these two megastars - an absolute war that had the crowd eating out of the palm of their hands. In the end, it was The Rock who emerged victorious, pinning Punk after a thunderous Rock Bottom. This one will be remembered for years to come.

All in all, WWE Elimination Chamber 2013 delivered on its promise of excitement and unpredictability. With some great matches and a few surprises along the way, this event will go down as one of the better Pay-Per-Views in recent memory.

Grade: A-

Recommendation: If you're a fan of professional wrestling or just looking for some good old-fashioned entertainment, WWE Elimination Chamber 2013 is definitely worth checking out. The main event alone is well worth the price of admission.
