WWE ThunderDome Delivers Thrills and Spills as Nikki Cross Upsets Lacey Evans in Thrilling TV Taping
St. Petersburg, Florida - December 14, 2020 - The WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field played host to a thrilling evening of professional wrestling action on Tuesday night, as the world's top grapplers brought their A-game to the squared circle. And while the main event may have stolen the show, it was a thrilling opening bout that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
In what was billed as a singles match between two of WWE's most talented and tenacious competitors, Nikki Cross faced off against Lacey Evans in a battle for bragging rights. The crowd was electric from the get-go, sensing the intensity emanating from both women as they clashed in the ring.
Cross, known for her unpredictable and often reckless approach to competition, came out swinging early on, using her quickness and agility to evade Evans' initial attacks. But the Sassy Southern Belle refused to back down, countering with a series of powerful strikes that sent Cross crashing to the mat.
The action spilled outside the ring as both women battled atop the announcer's table, with Cross eventually gaining the upper hand by sending Evans tumbling to the floor. From there, it was all Nikki Cross, as she dominated the match for much of its duration.
Evans' resilience and determination ultimately proved no match for Cross' sheer force of will, however, as the former NXT Women's Champion secured a pinfall victory at 5:30 of the contest. The win marked a significant upset, as many had anticipated Evans to emerge victorious in this one.
In an exclusive interview with ZOHASH.COM following her triumph, Nikki Cross reflected on the match, saying, "I knew Lacey was going to come at me hard, but I also knew I had the skills and the determination to take her down. It feels amazing to get that W, especially against someone as talented as Evans."
With this thrilling TV taping now in the books, all eyes turn to what's next for these two competitors - will Cross continue her winning ways, or will Evans regroup and come back stronger than ever? One thing is certain: the WWE Universe has plenty to look forward to as these two formidable foes continue their rivalry.
