WWE Monday Night Raw Report
January 22nd, 2018 - Manhattan Center, New York City, NY
The Manhattan Center was electric tonight as WWE's flagship program, Monday Night Raw, brought the action-packed show to life in front of a packed crowd. I'm Jon Wertheim, your correspondent for zohash.com, and I've got all the highlights from this eventful episode.
Match 1: Bray Wyatt vs. Matt Hardy - Singles Match
The show opened with a bang as The Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt, took on Matt Hardy in a singles match. Wyatt's intense promos have been building anticipation for his return to form, and he didn't disappoint tonight. The two competitors put on an entertaining show, with both men trading holds and moves. In the end, it was Wyatt who emerged victorious, pinning Hardy after the Sister Abigail at 5:55.
Wyatt's victory was met with a mixed reaction from the crowd, but you can bet that his momentum will carry over into future weeks. This win cements Wyatt's position as a top contender for the WWE Championship.
Match 2: Balor Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) vs. The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) - Tag Team Match
Next up, we had a tag team match featuring two of the WWE's most talented duos. The Balor Club, comprised of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, took on The Revival, consisting of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.
This one was all about high-flying action as both teams showcased their impressive aerial attacks. In the end, it was the Balor Club who came out on top, with Anderson pinning Dawson after a modified DDT at 1:50.
The win gives The Balor Club some much-needed momentum heading into future weeks, and we can expect them to be in the hunt for tag team gold soon.
That's all for tonight from the Manhattan Center. If you missed any of the action, make sure to catch up on WWE.com or tune in next Monday night for another thrilling episode of Raw!
Final Thoughts
Tonight's show was an excellent display of what makes professional wrestling so great. With two competitive matches and some strong storytelling, we can't wait to see what's in store for these talented Superstars.
Until next time, I'm Jon Wertheim for zohash.com. Stay tuned!
