WWF Report: Judgment Day Brings the Chaos to Xcel Energy Center
October 3, 2022 - Saint Paul, Minnesota - The Xcel Energy Center played host to a wild and unpredictable night of professional wrestling as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF) presented its latest television event. The evening's main attraction was the tag team match featuring The Judgment Day duo of Damian Priest and Finn Balor, who successfully defended their alliance against the high-flying tandem of AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio.
The bout kicked off with a thrilling display of aerial acrobatics from Styles and Mysterio, showcasing their trademark quickness and agility. However, The Judgment Day proved to be the more cohesive unit, using their sheer strength and cunning teamwork to overcome their opponents. A devastating combination of Priest's Reckless Driving (a modified spear) and Balor's 1916 (a rolling elbow drop) sealed the deal for The Judgment Day, who claimed victory in an action-packed 10:42.
In a contrasting match, Bobby Lashley made quick work of Mustafa Ali, demonstrating his dominant power with a crushing overhead slam. Ali showed resilience early on, but ultimately succumbed to Lashley's relentless assault. The non-title affair concluded after 11:26 minutes, leaving fans wondering what the future holds for these two competitors.
The women's division shone bright next, as Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae clashed in a spirited singles match. Kai, known for her technical prowess, utilized her submission expertise to force LeRae into a series of near-falls. In the end, it was Kai who emerged victorious, pinning LeRae after a well-executed inverted DDT. This bout clocked in at 11:00.
Johnny Gargano and Otis faced off in what promised to be an intense battle, but ultimately turned out to be a relatively short and sweet contest. Otis's imposing frame and aggressive style proved too much for Gargano, who was left reeling from a series of powerful strikes and slams. The referee counted to three after just 5:40 minutes, granting Otis the win.
Braun Strowman, ever the powerhouse, continued his winning streak with a convincing defeat of Chad Gable. Strowman's sheer strength and speed allowed him to overwhelm the smaller competitor, finishing him off with a thunderous running powerslam. This contest concluded after 8:45 minutes.
The night's undercard featured Solo Sikoa, who faced Angelo Dawkins in an evenly matched singles bout. Both men traded blows and near-falls, ultimately culminating in Sikoa's decisive victory via pinfall at the 12:20 mark.
Last but not least, IYO SKY put on a show against Alexa Bliss, utilizing her aerial prowess to outmaneuver the veteran competitor. SKY's innovative moveset, including a jaw-dropping corkscrew plancha, proved too much for Bliss, who was ultimately submitted via a modified inverted DDT. This bout clocked in at 9:15.
Overall, this WWF event delivered an entertaining evening of wrestling action, with each match showcasing the unique strengths and personalities of its competitors. As the company continues to evolve and grow, fans can expect even more exciting matches and storylines on the horizon.
