WWE Orlando Show Report: Thrills and Upsets Abound at Amway Center
Zohash.com - February 5th, 2023: The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) stopped off in Orlando, Florida, on a chilly winter evening, bringing with it a stacked card that left the packed Amway Center crowd buzzing. As part of their upcoming TV special, set to air live on June 2nd, the WWE delivered an unforgettable night of action-packed matches and surprising upsets.
The opening bout saw Damian Priest put Angelo Dawkins away in just over 11 minutes, earning himself a spot in the coveted Elimination Chamber match at a later date. This victory further solidifies Priest's position as a top contender in the WWE's upper echelon.
Next up was Dexter Lumis, who made quick work of Baron Corbin in a Singles Match that lasted all of three and a half minutes. This decisive win cements Lumis' status as a force to be reckoned with on the blue brand.
In the first Elimination Chamber qualifying match, Carmella emerged victorious in a Fatal Four Way bout against Michin, Piper Niven, and Candice LeRae. The Princess of Staten Island showcased her cunning and resilience, outlasting her opponents en route to a well-deserved victory (9:45).
Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin teamed up to take down Alpha Academy's Chad Gable and Otis in a Tag Team Match that clocked in at just five minutes flat. This impressive display of teamwork highlights the enduring partnership between these two WWE veterans.
Asuka made short work of Chelsea Green, dispatching her foe in mere moments (2:30). The Empress of Tomorrow continues to assert her dominance over the women's division, setting the stage for a potential future title run.
In what would prove to be one of the night's most competitive matches, Montez Ford outlasted Elias in an Elimination Chamber qualifying bout that went the distance at 10:25. This hard-fought victory showcases Ford's growth and determination, as he looks to make a mark on the WWE landscape.
Finally, in a Steel Cage Match for all the marbles, Becky Lynch proved her mettle against Bayley, overcoming the odds to secure a thrilling 15:15 victory. The Queen of Harts' unyielding resolve and physical prowess have cemented her status as one of the top female competitors in the WWE.
All told, this Orlando show was an absolute barnburner, featuring a mix of established stars and up-and-coming talent. With such a strong lineup, it's little wonder that the Amway Center crowd left buzzing, already anticipating the next WWE event.
