WWF Report: A Thrilling Night in LA as Omos, Theory, and Liv Morgan Shine
The Crypto.com Arena was electric last night as World Wrestling Entertainment brought the heat to the City of Angels with a stacked card that left fans on the edge of their seats. The live broadcast, which aired on April 4th, featured five matches that showcased the best of the WWF's talent pool.
Match 1: Omos defeats Elias in a Singles Match (01:41)
The main event of the evening got underway with Omos looking to continue his impressive win streak against Elias. The towering powerhouse delivered a thunderous body slam, followed by a crushing powerslam that sent Elias crashing to the mat. The victory, clocked at just 1:41, further solidified Omos' position as one of the top contenders for the WWF Championship.
Match 2: Austin Theory defeats Rey Mysterio in a Non-Title Match (09:24)
Theory's high-flying antics nearly got the better of the legendary Mysterio, but the young upstart's cunning and strength ultimately won out. A series of near-falls saw both competitors trading moves, before Theory landed a devastating knee strike that sent Mysterio reeling into the ropes. A follow-up theory-plex sealed the deal, with Theory emerging victorious in 9:24.
Match 3: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) in a Non-Title Tag Team Match (12:56)
The match of the night thus far saw KO and Zayn put on an absolute clinic against the talented duo, the Street Profits. A wild brawl erupted early on, with all four competitors giving it their all. In the end, it was Owens' patented pop-up punch that caught Dawkins off guard, allowing Zayn to capitalize with a swift Helluva Kick and secure the win for his team in 12:56.
Match 4: Bobby Lashley defeats Mustafa Ali in a Singles Match (00:38)
This one was over almost as soon as it started. A lightning-quick spear from Lashley sent Ali crashing to the mat, securing the pin and victory in just 38 seconds. The dominant display only added fuel to the fire surrounding Lashley's potential title shot.
Match 5: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) in a WWE Women's Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Match (07:02)
The main event of the evening saw two of the WWF's top tag teams go toe-to-toe for the coveted #1 contendership spot. A seesaw battle unfolded, with each duo trading near-falls and counterattacks. In the end, it was Morgan's cunning submission skills that allowed her to catch Kai in a vicious armbar, forcing the tap-out and securing the victory for herself and Rodriguez in 7:02.
As the night drew to a close, fans left the Crypto.com Arena buzzing with excitement, knowing they had just witnessed something special. With Omos, Theory, and Liv Morgan all picking up wins, it's clear that these stars are destined for bigger things in the world of professional wrestling. The question on everyone's mind now is: what's next for this talented trio? Only time will tell.
