WWE on Raw: A Night of Thrills and Spills at the St. Pete Times Forum

Tampa, FL - The WWE faithful packed the St. Pete Times Forum last night, eager to see their favorite superstars in action. And boy, did they get a show! From the opening bell to the main event, this was an evening that will be remembered for weeks to come.

First up, the Hardy Boyz took on MVP and The Brian Kendrick in a thrilling tag team match. Jeff and Matt brought their signature high-flying antics to the table, but it was the veteran duo that ultimately emerged victorious (4:13).

The WWE Universe then witnessed a chaotic Eight-Man Battle Royal for the Intercontinental Title #1 Contendership spot. William Regal proved himself to be the last man standing, outlasting Cody Rhodes, Jamie Noble, JTG, Manu, Shad, Snitsky, and Ted DiBiase (3:25).

The action didn't let up there, as Vladimir Kozlov made short work of Bret Haas in a squash match that lasted all of 23 seconds. Talk about a statement win!

Next up, the D-Generation X duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H took on John Morrison and The Miz. This one was an instant classic, with DX emerging victorious (6:32).

The Diva division got its moment to shine in a wild 16-woman tag team match that saw Beth Phoenix lead her team to victory over the likes of Brie Bella, Candice Michelle, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Mae Young, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, and Tiffany (1:33). This one was pure chaos.

The wrestling world's top stars then took center stage. CM Punk put an end to Randy Orton's winning streak with a hard-fought victory (2:51).

But the real showstopper was The Undertaker, who dispatched John Bradshaw Layfield in a match that was as intense as it was physical (2:53). The Deadman is now one step closer to reclaiming his World Heavyweight Title.

And finally, Kane and Mark Henry faced off against Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio. This was an evenly matched contest that ultimately saw the monstrous duo come out on top (2:23).

The main event, though, was a whole different story. In a Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Title, Chris Jericho proved himself to be the master of mayhem, outlasting Batista and reclaiming his title (undisclosed match time). This was one for the ages.

In all, this was an unforgettable night in Tampa. The WWE faithful got their money's worth and then some. Until next time...
