In a rematch from their Hell in a Cell match just one week prior, Randy Orton sought revenge against The Miz, who had stolen the show with his WWE Championship win on November 15th. This time around, it was Orton's turn to shine, as he delivered an RKO out of nowhere to The Miz, but it wasn't enough to retain his title.
In a stunning upset, The Miz capitalized on Orton's momentary distraction and seized the opportunity to strike, delivering a vicious Skull Crushing Finley to become the new WWE Champion! It was a fitting end to what had been an incredible night of action-packed wrestling.
