Albany, NY - The Pepsi Center played host to the WWE's first pay-per-view event of the year, and what a night it was! The sold-out crowd of 10,500 was treated to an action-packed card featuring some of the biggest names in the business.

Match #1: Ric Flair vs. Edge (WWE Intercontinental Title Match)

The show opened with a bang as WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair put his title on the line against the challenger, Edge. The two superstars traded holds and near-falls throughout the match, with Flair's experience ultimately proving to be too much for Edge. In the end, it was Flair who emerged victorious, retaining his title in a thrilling 7:10 bout.

Match #2: Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James (WWE Women's Title Match)

The Divas took center stage next as Trish Stratus put her title on the line against the challenger, Mickie James. The two women showed no quarter, with both delivering some impressive moves. In the end, it was Stratus who retained her title, pinning James in a solid 7:24 match.

Match #3: Jerry Lawler vs. Gregory Helms (Singles Match)

The King of Memphis, Jerry Lawler, made his way to the ring next to take on Gregory Helms. The two veterans put on an excellent display, with Lawler's cunning and experience allowing him to outmaneuver Helms. In the end, it was Lawler who emerged victorious in a 9:02 match.

Match #4: Triple H vs. Big Show (Singles Match)

The main event of the night thus far saw Triple H put his title on the line against the giant Big Show. The two superstars clashed in a hard-hitting affair, with both delivering some massive moves. In the end, it was Triple H who emerged victorious, retaining his title in an excellent 16:20 match.

Match #5: Shelton Benjamin vs. Viscera (Singles Match)

The action continued as Shelton Benjamin took on Viscera in a singles match. The two superstars delivered some impressive moves, with Benjamin's quickness ultimately allowing him to outmaneuver Viscera. In the end, it was Benjamin who emerged victorious in a solid 7:05 bout.

Match #6: Ashley vs. Candice Michelle, Maria, Torrie Wilson, and Victoria (Bra & Panties Gauntlet Match)

The Divas took center stage once more as Ashley put her title on the line against four of her competitors in a bra and panties gauntlet match. The match was an absolute wild card, with all five women delivering some impressive moves. In the end, it was Ashley who emerged victorious, retaining her title in an entertaining 11:30 bout.

Match #7: WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match

The main event of the evening saw John Cena put his title on the line against Carlito, Chris Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels in a thrilling elimination chamber match. The action was fast-paced and intense throughout, with all six superstars delivering some impressive moves. In the end, it was Cena who emerged victorious, retaining his title in an excellent 28:24 bout.

Main Event: Edge vs. John Cena (WWE Title Match)

The show closed out with a bang as Edge challenged Cena for the WWE title. The two superstars delivered some incredible moves throughout the match, with Edge ultimately emerging victorious to claim the title. It was a fitting end to an excellent card, and one that will be remembered for weeks to come.

Overall, New Year's Revolution was an outstanding event from start to finish. With some of the best matches of the year, it's no wonder that fans are already clamoring for more. And with the WWE title now on Edge's shoulders, it's clear that the road ahead will be filled with plenty of excitement and drama.

Best Match: John Cena vs. Carlito, Chris Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels (WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match)

Worst Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Gregory Helms (Singles Match) - While the match was enjoyable enough, it felt a bit like an afterthought compared to some of the other action on the card.
