NXT POWER HOUR DELIVERS ACTION-PACKED CARD AT CAPITOL WRESTLING CENTER

In front of a spirited crowd at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, WWE NXT presented an electrifying Power Hour that showcased some of the promotion's top talent. The show was taped on October 14, 2020, and is set to air later this week.

The evening kicked off with a thrilling tag team contest as The Undisputed ERA (Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong) defeated Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Match. This bout was an excellent example of the high-flying, hard-hitting style that fans have come to expect from this division. Fish and Strong's technical prowess ultimately proved too much for their opponents, securing the victory at 13:26.

In a shocking upset, Jake Atlas dispatched Ashante Adonis in a Singles Match, finishing him off with a swift roll-up in just 1:51. This quickie contest showcased Atlas's agility and cunning, as he capitalised on Adonis's momentary lapse of concentration to snatch the win.

Next up was a clash between Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory, which played out like a classic encounter between two of NXT's top stars. Gargano emerged victorious at 10:44, employing his signature "Gargano Escape" to overcome Theory's spirited challenge.

The women's division shone brightly with a #1 Contendership Match for the WWE NXT Women's Title, as Candice LeRae outmanoeuvred Shotzi Blackheart. This bout featured plenty of aerial action and a showstopping sequence from both competitors before LeRae claimed victory at 12:05.

Aliyah was left reeling after Toni Storm dispatched her in a Singles Match, wrapping up the contest in just 2:32 with a vicious DDT. The Australian phenom demonstrated her power and precision to secure the win.

The tag team division also made its mark on the evening, as Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel) defeated Drake Maverick and Killian Dain in a Tag Team Match. This encounter was marked by impressive double-team moves from the German duo, culminating in a decisive victory at 3:50.

The night's main event saw Damian Priest face off against Dexter Lumis in a WWE NXT North American Title Match. This hard-hitting contest was filled with high-impact strikes and near-falls aplenty before Priest ultimately emerged victorious at 12:12, retaining his championship gold.

In the end, this Power Hour demonstrated why WWE NXT is widely regarded as one of the premier professional wrestling promotions in the world. With a stacked card featuring top talent and exciting matches, this event was an absolute must-see for fans of the sport. Rating: 4/5
