WWE NXT: Phoenix Phenomenon
The sun-kissed city of Phoenix, Arizona played host to an electrifying edition of WWE NXT, as the black and gold faithful packed the Talking Stick Resort Arena on January 26th, 2019. The event was broadcast live on television, and we're here to give you the lowdown on the action that unfolded.
Tag Team Tussle The opening contest pitted the War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe) against the Undisputed ERA's Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles. In a thrilling match that showcased the best of both teams, the War Raiders emerged victorious after 16 minutes and 58 seconds of high-flying action.
Riddle Me That Matt Riddle was next up, taking on the formidable Kassius Ohno in a singles match. The two competitors traded blows in a frenetic pace, with Riddle ultimately securing the win in just 9 minutes and 17 seconds.
North American Mayhem The main event of the night's first half saw Ricochet challenge Johnny Gargano for the WWE NXT North American Title. This was a showstopper – a thrilling encounter that featured some breathtaking aerial assaults and a touch of old-school grappling. In the end, it was Gargano who retained his title, prevailing in an epic 24 minutes and 34 seconds.

NXT Championship Showdown The main event of the evening saw Tommaso Ciampa face off against Aleister Black for the WWE NXT Title. This was a battle for the ages – two of the promotion's top stars trading blows in an enthralling contest that featured a mix of technical grappling and high-impact strikes. In the end, it was Ciampa who retained his title, prevailing in an exhausting 26 minutes and 30 seconds.
