Detroit, Michigan - The Motor City played host to the highly anticipated Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, and what a show it was! The Joe Louis Arena was electric as the WWE Universe gathered to witness some of the biggest matches in recent memory.

ECW Heavyweight Title Match: Jack Swagger (c) vs. Matt Hardy

The night kicked off with a bang as ECW Champion Jack Swagger put his title on the line against Matt Hardy. In a hard-hitting affair, Swagger managed to overcome Hardy's spirited challenge, securing the victory via pinfall in 10 minutes and 28 seconds.

WWE Women's Title Match: Melina (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

The Divas took center stage next, with WWE Women's Champion Melina facing off against the challenger, Beth Phoenix. In a thrilling contest, Melina proved why she is the queen of the ring, emerging victorious in a match that showcased both competitors' impressive skills.

World Heavyweight Title Match: John Cena (c) vs. JBL

The main event of the night's undercard saw World Heavyweight Champion John Cena defending his title against the ruthless John Bradshaw Layfield. In a back-and-forth battle, Cena ultimately prevailed, retaining his championship in 15 minutes and 30 seconds.

WWE Title No Disqualification Match: Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

The main event of the evening featured WWE Champion Edge putting his title on the line against Jeff Hardy in a No DQ affair. The two superstars left it all in the ring, with Edge emerging victorious after a vicious spear sent Hardy crashing to the mat.

Royal Rumble Match

And now, onto the main event - the Royal Rumble match! 30 men entered the fray, each seeking to be the last one standing and claim the coveted WWE Championship. In an action-packed affair that spanned an incredible hour and two minutes, Randy Orton managed to outlast them all, last eliminating The Undertaker to claim the title.
