The sold-out crowd of 18,176 at the MCI Center in Washington D.C. witnessed a night to remember as World Wrestling Entertainment presented Capital Punishment, a live Pay Per View event that had it all - drama, action, and some unforgettable moments.

Match 1: Chris Benoit vs Orlando Jordan (WWE United States Title Match) Chris Benoit proved why he's still one of the best in the business by defeating Orlando Jordan to retain his WWE United States Championship. The match was a technical showcase, with both men showcasing their grappling skills. In the end, Benoit's experience and skill won out as he submitted Jordan to a Crossface.

Match 3: Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero (Custody Of Dominick Ladder Match) This match was an instant classic! The two lucha libre legends traded near-falls and high-impact moves, but in the end, Mysterio emerged victorious by retrieving his child from the top of a ladder.

Match 4: Kurt Angle vs Eugene Kurt Angle continued to prove why he's one of the greatest amateur wrestlers of all time by defeating Eugene. The match was a fast-paced and energetic affair, with Angle ultimately prevailing via an Angle Slam.

Match 5: Randy Orton vs The Undertaker The undefeated streak of Randy Orton came to an end at the hands of The Deadman himself, The Undertaker. This intense bout saw both men trading near-falls and delivering their signature moves, but in the end, Taker's power proved too much for Orton, who succumbed to a Tombstone Piledriver.

Match 6: John Cena vs Chris Jericho (WWE Title Match) The main event of the evening was a thrilling encounter between WWE Champion John Cena and challenger Chris Jericho. The two competitors gave it their all in a match that saw both men deliver high-impact moves, but in the end, Cena's never-give-up attitude won out as he retained his title via an FU.

Match 7: Batista vs John Bradshaw Layfield (World Heavyweight Title No Holds Barred Match) In a battle for the ages, Batista defeated John Bradshaw Layfield to win the World Heavyweight Championship. This brutal and bloody match saw both men trading near-falls and delivering their finishing moves, but in the end, Batista's power proved too much for JBL, who was forced to tap out to a Batista Bomb.

Match 8: Hulk Hogan vs Shawn Michaels In what can only be described as an honorary main event, the Hulkster himself, Hulk Hogan, defeated Shawn Michaels in a singles match. The two legends put on a show for the ages, with both men delivering their signature moves and engaging in a series of high-impact interactions. In the end, Hogan's sheer power won out as he delivered a leg drop to secure the win.
