WWF Survivor Series Report: Madison Square Garden

November 17, 2002 - New York City, NY

In front of a packed crowd at the iconic Madison Square Garden, World Wrestling Entertainment brought the heat to the Big Apple with a stacked card that will be remembered for years to come. The WWF's flagship pay-per-view event, Survivor Series, did not disappoint.

Tag Team Mayhem: Dudley Boyz and Hardy Boys Take Down Rico

The opening match saw the unlikely trio of Bubba Ray Dudley, Jeff Hardy, and Spike Dudley team up to take on Rico and his Three-Minute Warning partners Jamal and Rosey. This chaotic Table Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match was a wild ride from start to finish, with all six competitors leaving it all in the ring. In the end, the Dudley Boyz and their allies emerged victorious, as Rico and his teammates succumbed to the power of the Dudleys.

Cruiserweight Title on the Line: Kidman Takes Down Noble

Next up was a high-flying encounter between WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman and Jamie Noble. These two aerial acrobats put on a show, trading near-falls and showing off their impressive movesets. In the end, Kidman's technical prowess proved too much for Noble, as he retained his title with a well-timed Shooting Star Press.

Hardcore Match Mayhem: Victoria Takes Down Trish

The WWE Women's Title was on the line in this Hardcore Match between champion Victoria and Trish Stratus. These two tough competitors went to war, using every trick in the book to try and gain the upper hand. In the end, it was Victoria who emerged victorious, pinning Stratus after a vicious spinebuster.

Big Show Soars to WWE Title Victory

In what was billed as a David vs. Goliath matchup, Brock Lesnar faced off against the massive Big Show for the WWE Championship. Despite Lesnar's best efforts to use his agility and quickness to evade the giant's attacks, it ultimately proved futile. The Big Show dominated the match, using his incredible strength to deliver a thunderous choke slam and claim the title.

RAW Tag Team Title Three-Way Elimination Mayhem: Los Guerreros Take the Gold

This triple threat match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Titles pitted Los Guerreros (Chavo Guerrero and Eddie Guerrero) against Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, as well as Edge and Rey Mysterio. The action was non-stop, with each team trading moves and near-falls in a thrilling contest. In the end, it was Los Guerreros who emerged victorious, eliminating all three of their opponents to claim the titles.

Elimination Chamber Madness: Shawn Michaels Retains

The main event was a true spectacle - a World Heavyweight Title Elimination Chamber Match featuring six of the WWF's top stars: Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Kane, Rob Van Dam, and Triple H. This chaotic contest saw each competitor battling it out in a series of thrilling matches before finally entering the chamber. In the end, it was Michaels who emerged victorious, retaining his title by lastly eliminating Jericho.

Overall, Survivor Series 2002 will be remembered as one of the greatest pay-per-views in WWF history, with something for everyone and an atmosphere that was electric from start to finish.
