WWF WrestleMania XV Report

Providence Civic Center, Providence, Rhode Island - April 25, 1999

The curtain closed on another unforgettable night of professional wrestling as the WWF (World Wrestling Entertainment) brought their Pay-Per-View extravaganza to the Providence Civic Center. A sold-out crowd of 10,939 enthusiasts bore witness to a card that featured eight matches, each one more electrifying than the last.

The Ministry of Darkness Tames The Brood

In the opening match, Bradshaw, Faarooq, and Mideon (collectively known as The Ministry of Darkness) squared off against Christian, Edge, and Gangrel (The Brood). This six-man tag team contest was a wild ride from start to finish, with all six competitors giving it their all. In the end, The Ministry's sheer power proved too much for The Brood, securing a 11:38 victory.

Al Snow Locks Up Hardcore Holly

Next up, Al Snow challenged Hardcore Holly for the WWE Hardcore Title in a match that was equal parts brutal and entertaining. These two brawlers traded blows and chair shots throughout, but it was Snow who ultimately emerged victorious at 6:17, retaining his title in the process.

The Godfather Outshines Goldust

In another bout featuring gold-plated egos, The Godfather faced off against Goldust for the WWE Intercontinental Title. This one was all about the flashy moves and high-flying drama, with The Godfather ultimately outmaneuvering Goldust to claim a 5:21 win and his second Intercontinental Championship reign.

The New Age Outlaws Prevail in Tag Team Action

The always-entertaining New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn and Road Dogg) took on Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart in a match that was equal parts rough-and-tumble and high-flying. The Outlaws' cunning teamwork proved too much for their opponents, securing a 10:33 victory.

Mankind's Unlikely Win Over The Big Show

In what was shaping up to be the most unlikely of victories, Mankind put aside his differences with The Big Show (at least temporarily) and took on the behemoth in a Boiler Room Brawl match. This clash of titans featured an abundance of high-flying action, but ultimately, it was Mankind who managed to outmaneuver The Big Show and secure a 7:40 upset victory.

Triple H Outlasts X-Pac

In what was perhaps the most methodically paced match of the evening, Triple H faced off against X-Pac in a singles contest. These two competitors traded holds and near-falls throughout, but it was Triple H who ultimately managed to outlast X-Pac at 19:19.

The Undertaker Reaches New Heights

In another battle of behemoths, The Undertaker clashed with Ken Shamrock in what was essentially a test of strength. These two giants traded blows and near-falls throughout, but it was The Deadman who ultimately emerged victorious at 18:50.

Steve Austin's Thrilling No Holds Barred Match

And finally, the main event: Steve Austin, WWE Champion, put his title on the line against The Rock in a No Holds Barred match with special referee Shane McMahon. This epic battle featured an abundance of chair shots, steel chair brawling, and general mayhem. In the end, it was Austin who managed to outmaneuver The Rock at 17:07, retaining his title in the process.

The Bottom Line

What a show! With a little bit of everything - from high-flying aerial attacks to brutal brawls - WWF WrestleMania XV had something for everyone. And with Steve Austin's thrilling No Holds Barred match serving as the main event, this card will be remembered for years to come.
