Survivor Series '01: A Thrilling Night of Grudge Matches and Championship Gold

Manchester, England - The Evening News Arena played host to the latest WWE extravaganza, Survivor Series '01, and what a show it was! With eight matches on the card, including two world title bouts, this event had something for everyone. Let's dive in and relive the action.

Match 1: Edge vs. Christian (WWE Intercontinental Title Steel Cage Match)

The night kicked off with a bang as Edge put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line against fellow Rated-R Superstar Christian. This was a hard-hitting, technical affair that showcased both men's skills. In the end, it was Edge who emerged victorious, retaining the title in a thrilling 12:49 match.

Match 2: Scotty 2 Hotty vs. The Hurricane

The high-flying action continued with this singles bout between Scotty 2 Hotty and The Hurricane. These two daredevils treated the crowd to some insane moves, including a pair of top-rope hurricanranas from The Hurricane. In the end, it was Scotty who got his win in an exciting 8:55 match.

Match 3: The Big Show vs. Diamond Dallas Page

The giant-sized Big Show took on DDP in this one-on-one showdown. You wouldn't think a big guy like Big Show would need much time to finish off a smaller opponent, but he still managed to squeeze out just enough offense before finishing Page with his patented choke slam in 3:15.

Match 4: The Dudley Boyz vs. The APA and The Hardy Boyz (WCW World Tag Team Title Three Way Elimination Match)

This chaotic three-way elimination match saw the Dudleys, APA, and Hardys battling for WCW World Tag Team glory. It was a wild ride from start to finish, with all six competitors getting in on the action. In the end, it was the Dudleys who emerged victorious, retaining their titles after eliminating both opponents.

Match 5: William Regal vs. Tajiri

Regal, always a fan favorite, took on the high-flying Tajiri in this singles bout. These two had some great exchanges, but in the end, Regal's technical skills proved too much for Tajiri, who tapped out in 5:55.

Match 6: Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle (World Heavyweight Title Match)

The main event of the evening saw WWE Champion Chris Jericho put his title on the line against the challenger, Kurt Angle. This was an absolute barnburner, with both men trading near-falls and high-impact moves. In the end, it was Jericho who retained his title in a thrilling 14:55 match.

Match 7: Lita and Torrie Wilson vs. Mighty Molly and Stacy Keibler (Tag Team Match)

The lovely ladies took center stage for this tag team match, with Trish Stratus serving as special referee. This was a fun bout that featured some great athleticism from all four competitors. In the end, it was Lita and Torrie who got the win in 4:16.

Match 8: Steve Austin vs. The Rock (WWE Title Match)

The main event of the evening saw WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin put his title on the line against the challenger, The Great One, The Rock. This was an absolute classic, with both men trading blows and near-falls. In the end, it was Austin who emerged victorious, retaining his title in a hard-hitting 22:09 match.
